I just went looking to see where it would be priced and I saw $350+taxes from two local stores. That's a wild increase... they have added the autograph content, but wow... that's a huge jump from the price point the first release STARTED at. I'd like to know who's making the jump here - Manufacturer, distributor or local shop... and how much is this impacted by tariffs?
I believe the tariffs will certainly impact the price.Since it is being made in the USA.
But well over 3 times the starting point of last years product. That is way too much.
I am almost 100% sure that Upper Deck also let the presses run much longer on
this years than what they did last year. They were only testing the waters last year.
This year is where they will make their money. I had ordered a case but my supplier
told me last night that he may not even get a sniff of it this time around. He thinks
the bigger distributors and dealer will just stock pile it thinking it will do the same
as last year.Which I hardly doubt will happen.
Glenn,I guess that for those of us that jumped on the first release now
has to pay the price for those that missed the boat on the first release.I
for one will not be buying any if the prices are 3 plus times what the first
release was. Thanks.
In talking to a couple of local shops: the wholesale price hasn't gone up, though none of them expect that there will be any reorders at reasonable prices.
