Just curious what everyone is paying for the Cup? Here in San Jose they are $349.99.. How much and where are ya located at?

Lionel, $350 is not a bad "retail" price for this stuff today. I have heard prices all over the map, but my "cheapest" source had the stuff at $319 on the release date but now the prices are going way up.... Mike

Yah the $349.99 is retail shop price but I get a better price.. but since I was late buying this(gone for a week) prices are jumping! What did they jump to down in Georgia per box?

Lionel, I dunno what they are selling for at the local "pit". I didn't get over there today.... I didn't open any of this stuff and I don't plan to so I really haven't been paying attention to the prices to closely here locally. Mike
 
Called the local shop earlier this week and it was $369 US. :o

Went into the shop today and it was $475 US. :eek:

Needless to say I walked out (empty handed) laughing my arse off. :D

bought 3 for 405..shop had them for 400..but they were sold out..

they should be up to 500 soon i think..

CDN prices by the way
 
I paid $380 here in the Windy City yesterday for my one tin, and a little less for the one through our very own cjkuehn. They told me that it would be up over $400 if they get any more in....someone other than me will make that purchase.
 
Holy Carp! These prices are insane!! I better get the last one locally at my money PIT for $310ish!! I have one also coming from our own CJKUEHN but I think all the good stuff has been pulled by Sal and CJ haha

Not necessarily... it's the top tier pulls (Crosby/Ovechkin) that are driving up the tin prices. That will not directly cause a rise in prices of the lower tier rookies. There are not going to be enough (any) set builders to keep the lower tier guys selling well.

Jay, what might happen as I have noticed a little bit in basketball, is that some of the lower end guys might drive demand for the lower tier guys in The Cup. Additionally, the player collectors of the lower end rookies will also try and pick up multiple copies as well. It's not much, but I don't think these cards are going to bottom out that much. Not that it would have a huge affect on the wax. Crosby and Ovechkin are selling this product.
 
I had it for sale on release at 340 a tin. the local shops at 365. I will let you guys know monday what it went up to
