The setting is simple. I recently acquired a 2005-2006 UD Ice Jeff Carter Ice Premiers RC /99 from a great trader on Sports Card Forum. The card is raw graded KSA 9 Mint and sealed in a top loader. Unfortunately this is the reason I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place. The seal is not appealing in the slightest and raw grades are far less difficult to manage than slabbed grades, so what do I do? I know that there are probably more set builders than Jeff Carter collectors out there. Do I keep the raw grade intact, submit the card for slabbed grading via Beckett, or do I open the seal and store the rookie in a top loader or magnetic lock down? I am a little stuck.

C'mon, it's only KSA.... ;)

I vote for the moving it into a 'One Touch Magnetic Holder'

All the best, at whichever way you choose to go.

Does anyone think that the KSA 9 grade would peak interest? Mint is typical for cards these days especially now that we have great collectors taking care of their goods, so I really see no reason for the grade unless it would gain attention.

A 9 would garner the same interest, if not less, than a raw, a KSA 9, would garner less interest.

Magnetic One-Touch get's my vote as well
