What do you collect other than cards?

Doing a little research around my hockey memorabilia book, so I wanted to poll around a bit to see what you guys pick up after hockey cards.

To avoid repetitiveness, let's leave autographs off the table. I'd venture to say that the auto. genre is the biggest in the sport, hands down.

So what is your big game? pucks? figures? tickets? programs?

Thanks!

Jon

Hockey wise? Jerseys, the special edition pucks the Jackets have several times a year, Jackets programs, tickets of games I go to, GU sticks.

If we are talking about just collecting in general I have a small collection of guns and fishing gear.

As a Conservation Officer, I obviously have a passion for the great outdoors. I collect Muskie Lures and hunting paraphanillia (signs, advertsiements, vintage decoys).

Hockey wise, game used jerseys.

Outside of hockey, I collect the blue spine Hardy Boys books I read as a kid. But now I collect the first printings, limited editions, errors and other special copies.

The joke in my family is that I collect collections. Hockey cards are likely the most concentrated and organized of my collections, but I also have a tonne of comics, and collections of lapel pins (primarily Olympics, Hard Rock Cafe and Sens), Coke memorabilia and bottles (haven't added to that in a while) and non-sports cards. I of course also have odds and ends from a lot of other collectibles, but I wouldn't say I collect them.

I've just recently starting getting into comics, mainly Batman stuff. Since it's more recent, not sure if one would consider it "collecting", but it's something you can read and come back to later and enjoy.

On the sports side of things, I know you said "don't mention autos", but I think if you take autos and combine it with something else, like game tickets, particularly game specific tickets, would be cool. For example, I've got an autographed Paul Molitor 3000 hit game ticket, and a signed ticket from Jeremy Reed's first MLB Home Run. I've also got a ticket from Jeff Clement's first MLB hit game that I need to get auto'd one of these days. Definitely cool things, especially if can tie a milestone to the ticket.

Sports-wise, nothing. Otherwise, coins (paper money too, but not as much) and stamps. I don't go actively looking anymore, but if I stumble across something I like at a flea market I'll pick it up and I still find the odd coin or two in my pocket change that's worth keeping. My granddad has been an invaluable benefactor to my coin collection and the stamp collection grew considerably after I started online trading. I kept quite a few of the stamps that were sent my way from the far reaches of the globe. :)
I also used to have a large bottle cap collection when I was younger, but that's long gone.

Seems that all I've been collecting other than cards over the last few years are ex-girlfriends. I always seem to be looking for the upgrade. Any therapists around?

Me. Books. I have dozens of shelving units full of books and a couple outdoor sheds packed with boxed books.

Money! Coins and Bills. Mainly old and some new fancy Canadian coins. American coins a bit and dont mind having some stuff from around the world to make my collection unique. Got a ton of coins from the late 1800s and early 1900s. Even a Canadian 25 cent bill from 1901!

Also McFarlanes. Slowed down on those big time though!
