What do you collect other than cards?

Nothing hockey related outside of cards. I used to collect horse racing saddle cloths from important races, although I'm currently liquidating that collection as my goals will not be attainable due to some changes. I had owned KY Derby, Belmont Stakes, and Travers stakes cloths. Now my biggest piece is a Bandini winning Blue Grass Stakes cloth, along with some Breeders' Cup cloths, and other Grade I race cloths. I'm down to maybe 25 or so.

Pins for me. Olympic, Game-Day, Disney... whatever catches my eye. I have amassed quite the collection, although it has really slowed down of late, I only pick them up when I go to such places.

Also Game-Day commemorative Items from events I attend, that collection is fairly small. It consists of a few pins/scarfs/programs etc...

I also have a nice shot glass collection. Mostly of places my parents have been or I've been. My mom used to always pick up a shot glass any place she went for me. I really need to build a display for them as they just sit in a box.

I'll jump in. Other than hockey in the card world, I collect '70s Kelloggs baseball and football, and Topps football and baseball from '73-'79.

Outside of cards, I am a huge fan of '70s and early '80s drag racing. I pick up funny car and dragster kits from those years along with the odd die-cast Don Prudhomme piece.

I don't really collect McFarlanes, but do have those of guys I collect and admire.

I've got quite a few shot glasses of a similar nature as well. For display purposes if you don't want to build something I'd suggest a golf ball display case - they make a wide range of cheap/simple ones to very high end construction, available in a craft shop like Michaels. Most standard shot glasses fit perfectly. Mine would be displayed like that if I was still a bachelor in control of the decorations - instead they're in a box in storage.

Too many things:

DVD's (Movies and TV shows), about 1,700.
Anything with Penn State on it and game tapes/DVD's (over 400).
Mad Magazines and books.
World War II books (European theater only).
US Silver Eagles.

Knowing people in the music industry and the amount of shows I've attended in the last year has led me to collecting guitar picks. I view them as a form of art. Most artists have their own signature guitar picks, and they're a trip to catch at shows. It's also a plus when you personally know bands and can ask before/after a show for picks. They also change up from year to year so you really never get the same stuff. I have about 80 or so picks, 65-70 Unique. Bands such as Shinedown, Puddle of Mudd, 10 Years, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Halestorm (know em personally, so have about 20 picks from them), Stone Sour, Sevendust, Bullet For My Valentine and the list goes on and on.

My personal favorite (besides Halestorm) would have to be a Corey Taylor Stone Sour pick that I caught earlier this year. He flipped it out into the crowd, and it fluttered right down into my hand.

I also have a smaller collection of drumsticks, one of which was from Mike Portnoy when he was with Avenged Sevenfold last year. A guy who was standing behind me offered me $100 cash for the stick after the show but I turned it down.

Comic Books.

My comic collection is pretty darn huge. In terms of sheer quantity my hockey cards pale in comparison to my comic books.

Metallica memorabilia.
I've got a bunch of guitar picks collected at various shows I've seen.
I think I've got around 300 or so DVD concert recordings.
Lots of other stuff.

I use to collect a lot but since the "Horders" TV show came on I have since slowed down ha ha. I still collect some comics, mainly TP and HC now. I also still have my subscription to Slam magazine, I don't really collect them but I do keep them.
