What do you do when ...

Hi.
I am scaning cards for my bucket, and for some reason when I open the lid on my scaner the card sticks to the lid. So I open slowly to stop it from slidin down to the back of the scaner. I don't want to damage any corners. I want to scan lots of cards over the next few days but this is really slowing me down.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Any ideas of how to stop this?
It only happens when in a sleve. Never in a top loader or screwdown.

I believe the issue is static. When you put the cards on the scanner put a sheet of printer paper over the back of the cards that will stop any contact with the scanner lid and any issues with sticking
