Looks like Bunting YGs are hitting the $30 mark now with him leading the league in rookie scoring. What if he was pictured as a Leaf and not a Coyote. $100 mark now?

Hard to say. Marner and Nylander weren’t even $100 YGs when they were putting up 60pts as rookies. Nylander still isn’t and Marner has only been $100+ recently if I’m not mistaken. The hobby has grown since 2017 though so who knows.

But to answer your question I absolutely think being pictured in a Yotes jersey makes the YG less desirable even if us Leaf fans love him as a player. Tavares’ YG got a bump when he came here but he’s still not burning any villages down with his Islanders YG prices.

Yes, I think lots of factors come into play. The jersey he is pictured in, his age, the fact that he couldn't stick with the Yotes, and a lot of speculators that believe his stats are simply a byproduct of his world class linemates (and not his own skill) are all playing a factor. Look at Kerfoot and Kase YG's....those guys are both having pretty good seasons, yet their YG cards barely move the needle.

To be considered an NHL rookie, a player cannot be 26 years of age on, or before, September 15th of that season. Bunting turned 26 two days later, on the 17th. In addition, a player cannot have played more than 25 games in any season preceding the present season
