What is a 7 piece Quincy called? Weirdly satisfying, even if it is a scrub.

Through an odd fluke of destiny, I acquired most of the 15-16 OPC run of Goldobins. While I had no interest in the player (neither did the NHL), it seemed wrong to leave this mini-collection incomplete, so I kept an eye out for the auto and the blank back.
The final piece, the blank back, arrived today.
This sept-incy? includes:

2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update #U48 Nikolay Goldobin
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Rainbow Foil #U48 Nikolay Goldobin
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Rainbow Foil Black #U48 Nikolay Goldobin
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Red #U48 Nikolay Goldobin /100
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Retro #U48 Nikolay Goldobin\
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Retro Blank Back #U48 Nikolay Goldobin
2015-16 O-Pee-Chee Update Signatures #USNG Nikolay Goldobin C

Yes, a rainbow.

A Quincy is getting the whole print run of a specific card. I think the original Quincy was an ITG Ultimate of Sakic (all serial numbered to /5). Is that correct, Steve? Captain's C ? ;) (y)

It's like you don't even Quincy, Curt! EVERYONE knows that it was the 2003-04 SPGU Premium Patches /6! :ROFLMAO:

Ahhhh, yes, a Rainbow. Thanks! My first rainbow, I do believe? I did a few auto ones /100 /50 / 25, but this one is a touch more elaborate.
The kid still scores overseas!

Lol, love this debate of quincy and rainbow!!!

I have been a member here for close to 20 years (crazy, right?). Back when the Crosby craze blew up the activity on the site and daily posts were easily 30-50 for breaks. One of the craziest posts of obsession were from our one and only Quincy. Yeah, people would post those rainbows or partial rainbows and the collections of 1/1, /2, or the rare /3. Quincy, on the other hand, would posting staggering collections that were more than the /2 or /3. There were /4, /5, and occasionally a higher run number full set. Posting a surprising number of these only garnered the respect and admiration of many (and jealousy, lol) and a term after the collector that described the effort and drive to complete an insane accomplishment to pokemon the run. It became a “quincy”.

For this site, as I am unsure if it carried to others, the term for a quincy describes the full run of a single card and its entire serial number in one collector’s possession that is /3 or above (in my opinion for the minimum print run). This can be utilized for single cards of a variation color, without color-just print run, or player nameplate letters that are out of the players last name (SPGU had this in the late ‘00’s, and I see it resurfaced in recent The CUP).

Your accomplishment is nothing to put aside. Rainbows are a great site to be seen! Super rare to see one put together in one place and shared! This rainbow is probably a bit more impressive than most if you think of the odds of finding these from the short printed 14-15 UD S2 packs.

Except for the one jealous d-bag who made disparaging remarks about Q's porcelain (badly misspelt) cat in the background of the picture of the 5/5 .Can't believe I still remember that! LOL
