What set to collect from 2013-14 to save for 15-20 years?

Hey!
Some of You may know that when I have been gone from the forums and so on I have got a small boy in my life!
He come 4 of October and I like to collect a set for him that he will get some day in the future...

So what set should I get?
Have been a big collector of 1994-95 Be A Player Signature set al my life and have several sets think I could count to 9 sets right now...

But I have also been a big fan of 2001-02 to 2003-04 UD Premier and have all the main sets with rookies saved!
And the last set that I did was 2005-06 The Cup and Ultimate! The Cup set is sold since long time and good I miss that set! But the Ultimate is still in my collection, I why I did save it was because it include more RC´s of that year!

But I'm a sucker for hard signed cards... Still I thinking of getting the normal UD set for my young boy!

So please help me what set should I go after?

Get whatever one attracts you... as long as you're not thinking of it as an 'investment' (of which modern cards are horrible), you'll do fine.

Because of the dual RC class ud1 and ud2 might be a good set to look at.
May be fun to look back and see where the young guns finished up as most will be at the end of their careers at that time.

I think that this years silhouettes are pretty sweet. As a masterset I would chose ud since this years jerseys are good looking.

if you are stuck on this year I would do something revolving around the rookies.... otherwise I would go back to 2011-12 so that you can get Gretzky, Orr and Howe in the same set..... if it is something that you just want to lock away, maybe look at either the 09/10 or 10/11 ultimate signatures sets

Allright me and my soon will get other set in the future, this set is to save until he is say 20 or something...

I'd do something Mid Range with this and build SP Authentic,with the dual rookie crop it should be a well invested set that's not too expensive but ain't cheap either...

SPA looks nice also... hmmm...

yeah, if you have the funds...SP Authentic. still got a few months to save your money.

If you are going for future value that's tough but I'd probably go for SPA with the hard-signed RC's.

If you want hard-signed RC's with patches and can afford it, I'd wait for Cup, since as a comparison, Dominion will require you to add Anthology updates.

If you are going for a comprehensive record of the league from this year with great pictures, I'd go for Series 1 & 2 as the checklists are much more inclusive and you still get RC's of all the players.
