What sets are you building and why?

udygs from-00/01-19/20-update sets also.
opc sets-from 70/71-19/20-most of these are done..
spa-sets not 100% on these years yet-11/12-15/16..
btp sets-11/12-mostly autos-but did finish the regular-gu'd-set.
toronto maple leaf autos-goalies/players.
random-goalie autos..

plus many other sub sets..

My first completed set was the 2008-09 UD Masterpieces base set. Just loved the look of the cards. At the expo last spring (2019) I decided to search and build the 1997 McDonald's Game Film set and just recently completed the 1997 Upper Deck Diamond Vision base set. I am currently working on the 2018 UD Engrained base set. This one may be take me a while...

It seems that the sets I choose to build are just based on the look.

I'm not building any at the moment because I haven't found a set that I want to collect that makes sense. There are sets I like, but assembling them piece by piece will cost me anywhere from 8-200x the actual value of the set.

2013-14 Lord Stanley's Mug

I got back into collecting in 05/06 after getting burned out on it in the mid 90s. At the time I thought spending a couple hundred CAN$ on a box of UD Ultimate Collection was crazy, but I ordered one online anyway. I pulled a Crosby RC auto and I was hooked. I now collect the base and rookie set on an annual basis and am working on a Master Set of 05/06 itself. If anyone has any 05/06 UD Ultimate that needs a loving home, look me up!
