Set collecting is how I enjoy the hobby.That chase for that last card.But when it is done and the chase is over than for me the fun is gone.I have done a lot of sets over the years.But back a couple years I was at the Toronto Expo and I took a few older cards on trade.I came back home and I started and built 5 older sets from starting with only those few cards I had received on trade at the show.I built a 1952 Parkhurst,1954 Parkhurst,1954 Topps,1960 Parkhurst,1961 Parkhurst.But like I said once they were done I had no use for the sets.But I would have to say that they were the most fun I had building sets.Although this year has been a bit challenings as well for me.I did the 05-06 ITG Ultimate base #xx/45 and I am down to one card on my 05-06 Hots Prospects sets.For me it is fun.
I honestly do not know how some of these HI members do it.Starting these limited sets of autos or game used patches.Often down around 25 or less total sets.My hat goes off to those guys.Just incredible stuff.But I am sure that it is all part of this thing we all call collecting.Thanks,Winston.

I used to do a lot more set building when my funds were more limited. Now I'm pretty much all about Sakic. I built a lot of mid-late 90's sets. I used to do two sets of SPA every year until last year. The last base set I built was The Cup base set 1-100. The last few insert sets I did:
04-05 Franchises Canadian Triple memorabilia 1-10 (20 sets possible).
03-04 ITGU Franchise Jersey/Autographs (10 sets)
03-04 BAP Memorabilia Vintage Memorabilia (15 sets)

Never done any sets before but I've decided to do the 03/04 UD Ice Breaker/75 set.If anyone can help me out that would be great.
