What the... ?! Bizarre EBay Auction!

I just found this - what's the deal here?!

Is this "huge Brodeur fan" trying to rip Roy by selling this great card for absolutely dirt cheap?

I can't find any suspicious "you're bidding on a photo of this card" headings...

i'm willing to bet that he screwed up the price and missed a zero.... there is no way anyone would sell that card for $10.

I don't now if anyone would sell it for $100 ethier though. If that was my card I would be asking at least $200 for it

free shipping too... and it did sell... either someone is gonna be really sad when they don't get the card, or the seller honors his/her mistake and sends the card for $10 total...

I think this is an attempt for the seller to save $ on ebay fees...they probably agreed to sell the card for much, much higher, and what happended was that the seller requested to sell it under the rediculous price of "$10" to save money on final value fees

I think that the guy made a trade/sale, that's why he said he was a huge Brodeur fan ..
Might sound bad on this, but if I made this mistake, I would cancel the sell and get the negative. That's just me, I guess people will bash me on this.

I've had this sort of issue happen before. I listed a Jordan autograph for $25 when I meant to put in $250. A guy quickly hit the Buy it Now. I messaged him and explained the mistake and he gladly cancelled the transaction. That's the honest way to go about it.

It wouldn't make sense to do a "fake" ebay auction to save transaction fees. That's what paypal invoices are for. Very odd

I did the same when i pulled a Don Cherry auto, not the same amount of a deal but i did offer free shipping to any Ontarian who would empty my house of that nutshell.wned:

I had someone request that I do this for them. They wanted me to list the card on ebay because they wanted "protection". The buyer suggested I list the card for a fraction of what I was selling it for to avoid a high final value fee.

I can dissolve the mystery - I contacted the owner of this card and asked him to work a trade for a sweet Brodeur card I owned. We bought eachother's card for $10 to avoid fees and add some protection. He doesn't use trade sites, and was most comfortable doing it this way. I was wondering if someone here would catch this!
