I am honestly in a situation in which I have no idea what to do. For starters, there's this summer job at Coopers foods (8$/hour), not bad for a teenager... Since I don't have to pay any bills or save up for anything, I was wondering what I should use the salary for. See, I could use it ALL on my Bergeron collection. Maybe buy that 1/1 Bergeron au shield from Premier collection (If it ever shows up). But then again, there's these beauty glove and blocker that match my goalie pads (Eagles if you must know). Or I could save up for a nice case of something... a case break would be a lot of fun... lots of trade bait, lol. So, 30 hours a week, $8 an hour, 8 weeks of work, thats: $1,920 (correct me if i'm wrong). BUT (here's the kicker), I have to save half for post secondary education... So I am limited to 5 choices:
1. Bergeron 1/1 Premier auto shield 2. Random additions to my Bergeron collection 3. Case of random product (recommendations of products are embraced) 4. Eagle Glove and Blocker 5. Screw the job, sit home and eat.
Please help me out with my desicion... your response would be really appreciated.
Also, you guys have an estimate to how much this card would go for on ebay?

THANKS FOR HELPING!!! (unless you didn't [shaking of fist])

Kinda hard to say. As owner of Ruutu NHL Shield i can say its **** sweet card to have. But then again getting my Ruutu collection as near 100% (without counting 1/1) is my goal. That shield was just a bit "extra" to have.

So i'll would go for the get random Bergeron cards option on this one. There are very nice cards out of him too.

Whatever you do,get the job.
I didn't have a job all high school grade school etc.
and it's made me one lazy mother b..can't say that.
But,
whateverya do, takethe work, and don't get complacent with laziness, it will haunt you in later years.

after that,
getmany cards as opposed to one.
or just save the money for something like a car down the road, 500$ ain't much towards a car, but, something is better than nothing.

Don't blow all your money on one thing, buy a few random cards then do something crazy, like take a girl on a date.

The Bergeron Shield was pulled in Winnipeg just after Premier came out. I seriously told the shop owner about 1/2 before it was pulled that I wouldn't touch Premier. Anyway it has been on ebay already and sold to someone who I'd assume would want to keep it in their collection.

EDIT: I voted for case of something - ripping is fun - don't matter what product.

Take half of what you budged for cards, and save it towards a car or for spending money for college. I started putting cash away during high school, and now I'm pulling it back out so I can spend it, and I'm very glad I did!

Then, take the other half, and buy cards with it :D Maybe a box or two here and there, but focus the most of it on your player collection.

Yeah me too I didnt get my first real job until after highschool. I wish I would've had a job while I lived at home. Now I work like crazy to pay bills, rent and buy tihngs like cards. So it's been an adjustment. SAVE SOME OF THE MONEY and spend the rest on cards. I'd say maybe a case ...... dibbs on Brodeurs :D .... Anyway good luck in whatever you choose.

It COULD pop up online, and Godot could also make an appearance on the board. Id say do a few pickups, and save some money - a Legit SP Auth Auto/Patch could pop up at any given time.

I've been working my job for 3 months, $7.45/hour, anywhere from 8-22 hours per week, I only get $20 outta every pay cheque for myself, and the rest gets put away for school.

Personally, 'd pick up random Bergerons for your collection. That's what I've been doing, my collection has grown tremendously.

Hey, I used to be a good friend with one of the Grandsons of the original founder of Coopers. Maybe I could get you a raise :) I believe he's in Vernon now.

im 15 and i put 75% of my pay checks into the bank, im heading over to sweden to try out for a few SEL teams and i will need money, 25% is actually doing me great, i just bought a Roy under the glass auto. i make 10$ an hour for a hunting and fishing place. yeah, but for your poll, i said random additions, because sweriously, what are the chances that the bergeron will even hit ebay? its a 1/1 and it may allready be in a bergeron collector's hands.

Go for random additions, and save a little each pay check for the glove and blocker

I opted for the Buy A Case Of Something and I recommend a cheap case of C55. I am seriously contemplating doing just that. I love C55. I am also a fan of SPx but I don't know if you'll have enough after taxes (do you pay taxes?) to do that.

I voted for buying "Random" Bergeron cards. If you build a nice colection of all of his cards it will be really cool. Don't get me wrong if the Shield comes up on the bay you should try for it, but it's gonna go really high, and it may never show up. A case break can be really fun also, but with no new products right now I would wait for a case break until the lockout ends and a new product hits the shelves with some hot rookies. Mike

I would pick up random cards here and there, and save the majority toward college. You don't want to be taking too much in student loans. And if you get scholarships, then buy the nice cards.

Spend them on random additions to your collection...and save some money for school. Keep some pocket money as well, as to quit buggin your parents for money!
