OR 10-11 Donruss Hockey presell

Comments very appreciated, These are the only boxes I am currently interested so please stick to these boxes. I am going to get at least 1 box

Apparently you're the devil....

I can completely understand wanting to hear preferences through other peoples' experiences. If you know little about any of the products, what better place to go to for info than a HOBBY TALK MESSAGE BOARD.

Cannot speak for H&P or BAP, as I have never been a fan. I did open some 06-07 BTP, though. It is one of my least favorite years of BTP. That would leave me considering the Presell, although I'd lean towards the Score or the Certified, IMO.

Now, back to the crucifying.... If one thing should be banned, it's not these threads, it's the Chat Room- inspired beat downs.
 
he is asking for opinions, not approval. If you hate this kind of post so much why not ignore it and move on rather then make negative replies.

I would go with the 08-09 H&P.

The public flogging really is not necessary. I have no problem with threads asking about which products people might recommend. The "who should I collect" is a different matter, IMO.

I would have go to with 08-09 H&P.

And I personally, would take the 08-09 H&P box..... good luck with whatever you decide. :)
 
Maybe the OP knows what type of yacking he will get from people, so he posted this topic with intent. With 2500 posts I am sure he knows something about the hobby and the boards.

Ive been on these boards for awhile so I was just looking for other members opinions on this topic. Ive posted threads like these before and received some excellent opinions and help from members who made some very good points on certain products. I have never opened the products listen above in my original post so I was looking for some helpful comments. I didn't think I was going to get hit with such negativity.

If you don't like my post then don't comment because I don't want your opinion. All I did was ask a quick question because I was about to make an order on products I was unfamiliar on, I am sorry if it wasn't in the correct FORMAT Reddrgn88 for you. Does it really matter how I start it?

Thank you to those who actually commented informatively, I appreciate it.
 
The question is a viable one.

06-07 BTP box: I don't think the odds were too strong in terms of nailing a nice memorabilia or autograph card. Nice base set, nice inserts, but not as strong a yield of awesome from what I recall. I can't find exact odds on ITG's web site.

06-07 BAP box: Weak rookie class with low return. Autograph in every pack is nice, but resell is poor on them.

08-09 H&P box: This one would get my vote. The memorabilia cards were great, the autograph selection was strong, and I believe you generally hit 2 of each in a box.

OR 10-11 Donruss Hockey presell: Looks like a mild version of UD1 on the surface. This doesn't look like a bad product, but I don't like the price point for the hits you'd get.

Ignore the negative posts B. You should be able to ask a question with out the negative comments. You should go with the h&p you have great luck with that product!:beer:

I would have to agree with this...unless you are a big goalie collector or prefer more prospects I say go for the donruss
I don't get the complaints...seems like the op is just requesting an opinion and nothing more...I mean this is not as bad a the I am leaving the hobby (which might be fine if it is true) thread. I actually don't mind a what to collect thread if the person is giving some details or perhaps is wondering what the most cost effective player or set might be...also seems ironic to complain since you are bumping down supposedly more important threads
 
I think its funny that a guy gets ragged on for wanting to talk about something hobby related in the "hobby talk" section. I mean are we that high strung around here? If you dont like the thread, skip over it, big deal.

That said I say go 06-07 BTP, cheap box with the chance at big hits. Cant go wrong.
