People are so use to get there card for almost nothing they start to count how many dimes the seller makes on shipping.Any of you guys take into consideration the time it takes to prepare the enveloppe, put the card in a team bag between layers of cardboard, tape up the mailer , ride to the post office, get into that line at the post office, hitting a rookie behind the counter who cant figure out the cash.Or its just stamp cost + 13 cents for a bubble mailer because you pay 13 cents.I prepare 15-20 enveloppe and it takes close to an hour and a half to get em ready and ship.

You where aware of the shipping cost prior to bid, you assume it would be ship in a bubble mailer.

Myself, i would leave a positive somethin like `We have a PWE shipper here, seller use white enveloppe to ship cards` type of message and hit him on is DSR.Only way i would ask some money back is if i paid for a service `registered or express mail` and got it regular mail.

So...you yourself charges $3.50 compared to his $3. I guess the extra .50cents you charge covers the bubble mailer (and then some). What other "protection" do you have that he doesn't? Unless you ship everything in a magnetic holder, I don't see what else can cost more. His shipping charges are pretty much right in line with what you charge. If anything, I might fault him for not not taping the top of the toploader closed, but as you will find out here, MANY people dispise that too.

I HATE getting PWE's as much as the next guy, but if the card arrived in perfect condition, who cares? I also HATE overpaying for shipping, but if I never asked previously to bidding, is that the sellers fault? People have to assume some responsibility. Not everyone who sells on Ebay goes by Hobby Insiders "standard" of card shipping. Perhaps they should though :)

In my opinion, this is what is wrong with Ebay, and why I basically quit using it. Buyers feel they are entitiled to everything in the world, and whine and snivel if they think someone actually made a few extra pennies on something like shipping. The buyers know that they can hold the sellers hostage if they don't agree to a refund. Then, they get their $1 overcharge for shipping and handling back and they still leave a neutral. 100% total BS!! Ebay is there for people to try and make money. Period. If you don't like the sellers S/H charges, don't bid. Almost everything you buy as as a consumer has shipping charges figured into the price. Only difference here is that on Ebay you actually state what you are charging, while stores DON'T advertise what they paid (or should I say what YOU paid) for shipping on the item.

And lastly...lol...if the seller offered free shipping and it still came in a PWE, but in perfect condition, what would you do?

OK, rant over. Nothing personal towards the OP at all, I'm just get tired of hearing about a cards that arrived in perfect condition and the buyers wanting the sellers head cut off.

If the card is damaged...now that's a totally different story. Cheers

E-mail him and ask why he sent in a PWE. Ask why he charged $3 for shipping. Mention to him your intention for feedback and let him respond.

Communication is key.

And if I ship the card in a 1-touch, which costs about $1.50, with postage, etc, at $4 to ship, I'm LOSING money, and people STILL think 1 or 2 stars is acceptable too...

... many people in this hobby spend WAY too much time looking for stuff to complain about. The nickle and diming and all the kvetching that buyers do has reached a critical point.

I've reached a point where anyone who e-mails me to ask why I charge $4 for shipping in NA goes immediately to my blocked bidder list. The terms are there in black and white, and they're NOT negotiable. Live with it or move on to the next card.

I agree. The sense of this entitlement in this hobby is disgusting.

I really disagree on the neutral. REALLY disagree. That's abusing the feedback sytem, IMO.

The card arrived safely. The product is fine.

The beef is with the shipping cost, which I get. eBay put in these specific ratings for reasons like this one. Hit him with that rating ONLY.

God I hate to agree with Jai, but he is right.

If the card arrives in a bubble mailer that looks like a dog ate it would you still give a positive because he shipped it in the "proper" manner?
