What would you do?

You don't care that it isn't actually a GU swatch on the card? Who is to say that anything UD does is legit now?

No I misread the original post. I thought for some reason he said it was from another big E jersey. I clearly need to read. My stance has changed.. LOL

Authentic memorabilia is incredibly important, and not just for the fact collectors want pieces of memorabilia that the player actually used. Box prices are steep and collectors are under the impression that part of the reason we're paying those high prices is because companies have to buy expensive game used equipment. If they are passing off fake jerseys and charging us premium wax prices that's a huge problem.

I lost faith in UD memorabilia long ago and it's only getting worse. ITG is the best there is when it comes to authenticity and so far so good from Panini, at least with hockey.

Just to update everyone on this, Upper Deck has agreed to replace this card. The process was actually fairly easy, although I have no idea who I was exchanging emails with.

They were really noncommittal on what it would be exactly. I'm actually hoping it isn't another copy as it seems about 50/50 to get one with a patch from the correct time frame and most of those have been number pieces. At this point I will take just about anything close in value to just be done with it. I hope Upper Deck destroys the card, but I won't hold my breath.
