When Panini doesn't bother to respond....

these guys have contracts do they not? is there any way to get them to actually sign the stuff? It's not easy to put together a set and all you really see is redemption after redemption.
I love the panini product, and I know you're looking into a couple for me, but seriously. It's the off season now. These guys should have the time.

I do have one favor to ask everyone, if I say I'll look in to your redemption, please answer your dang phone when our CS crew does call. Makes me look like the proverbial kid crying wolf when I tell them it's urgent that they call and they don't get an answer. (I'm looking at you cfind).

Seriously? It's not like I missed the call on purpose or we had a specific time set up. I've been up since 7:50am MST on my day off waiting for someone to call.

I can't believe I get called out for missing 1 call when I've been trying for months for someone to respond. So please don't tell me that I make you look bad because the 10 second window she chose to call in was an impossible time for me to pick up.


I called the rep back 3 times since then and each time got sent to her IP voicemail. I even tried calling through the general CS line and got asked to leave a message. So I'm actually currently waiting for her to call me back.

You would think, right? Of course, a good amount of the times it's those "contacts" who are the problem. Like a certain kid's agent who keeps "losing" all of his stuff we send.
 
Hey Clint,
I tried sending this to you privately through a PM but your box is full and wouldn't accept it.


I was hoping you could provide the CS rep in charge of dealing with me a message. She tried to get a hold of me today but I wasn't able to pickup and won't be able to call her back for a few days. I have a family emergency to deal with and will be flying home later this afternoon and will be gone for the rest of the week. My wife said she would call her back and explain the situation, but in case she's not able to get a hold of her, I just wanted to make sure someone knew I wasn't intentionally ignoring the calls. I also wanted to express my appreciation for her attempts. I realize this leaves the ball in my court and I will call her back next week once the dust settles. Thanks,

Actually I just got off the phone with a rep. I have 4 outstanding redemptions from Crown, 2 of which I know I have seen on that auction site live. The rep I got a hold of was very nice at first she said they did not have any in on my request (Leddy and Spaling) but then proceeded to call and check and informed me that the Spaling was available and would have it sent out.

Clint, I have to give you props man. You are going above and beyond your job, which very few people will do these days. Thanks!!!
 
Since you're reading the thread. I was wondering what the deal is with Mike Green. Every auto he's had with you guys is a redemption. I know there were piles of redemptions with him and UD last year. Just curious what's up with that.
 
yeah I am getting tired of redemptions too . I think the paajarvi is live, and I have to concur that any messages / responses left through the redemption site are ignored or at very least unanswered. I havent bothered phoning, I dont think it's any more effective .

Are redemptions really a necessary evil anymore. We have seen the result , I think the card companies might want to start avoiding making promises that are too difficult to keep .
Don't know , no redemptions = no redemption issues

hey Clint, I just want to say I really appreciate you going out of your way to give us the inside scoop of things, and help us with our questions and concerns regarding redemptions and such. it is good to know there are fellow collectors at Panini working hard to help their customers and makes the process of waiting for players to sign and what not that much easier! I do have one question for you. I have a redemption for a Magnus Paajarvi Limited material phenoms auto /50 that has been live for quite a while, I am just wondering when mine should be expected to ship out. I talked to Whitney a while ago ( BTW, she is very knowledgable and helpful and actually went to the card stock room to check for me, i only want to talk to her from now on! lol) and she said it would be sent out soon, but I havent seen an update online as of yet. Also, i had asked for a replacement for my Shattenkirk Freshman Fabrics as well, and that hasnt been updated either. Just want to know that it is being done, and she wasnt saying yes to everything to try to get me off the phone lol. Thanks in advance Clint!
 
So I called CS today and had a very pleasant experience. I was on hold less the 5mins. Asked for replacements on 3 cards, which took a total of 10mins, the rep was able to find one card that I have outstanding but is live and she said it's being shipped with sig verification.

My Signature will be updated when cards are received.

This is the first time I've called in and actually got a live person, though the delay these last 2 weeks has been my responsibility. The CS agent assigned to my case wasn't in today, but I talked to a very nice agent named Whitney. It took less than 5 minutes to talk things over regarding a replacement package. All I asked for was that I get fair value, I did not specify teams or players and I even mentioned that I did not care which sport it came from. She said that made things a lot easier and the package would go out on Friday.

All I'm hoping for now is that the scarcity and players of my current redemptions are taken into consideration, and no, I'm not expecting Crosbys and Ovechkins, but as a reference, here's what I'm replacing:

Matt Duchene/Jason Spezza Dual Auto & Jersey, numbered to /5
Dion Phaneuf/Colby Armstrong Dual Auto & Jersey, numbered to /5
Luke Schenn/Jamie Benn Dual Auto & Jersey, numbered to /5

Nice to see i'm not the only one waiting for that card ! It's been months since this card was first seen live. I saw plenty and still waiting on mine.
 
I have to say I'm not impressed thus far with the redemption program. I have an Eberle Freshman Fabrics /100 that I am still waiting on since Novemeber 2010.
Considering his auto is not scarce on the market and with Panini's product to date, such a wait is not what I had initially expected at all.

As a Panini customer, I will definitely be holding off on future box purchases until this is rectified.
 
I requested one...it looks like you just sign in and in the comments field, simply state that you would like to have the card replaced. If there's another way, I can't figure it out either.
