with some Hobby Love was traded in his rookie (card) year??

I've been out for a few years, but can not recall it happening that recently? Anyone have any players that they can think of??

Kassian and Shattenkirk didn't have the same demand as Cody did. These two only got the regular hobby attention. Kassian's value will pickup now that he is a Canuck, but before then he was only going to be a bit better than an average rookie (hobby wise). Shattenkirk never got full hobby love ... maybe at the end of the year after the trade as well.
 
Anyone notice that Hodgson prices have maintained Canucks-levels even after the trade? I know Buffalo has a good group of collectors but nothing like Vancouver's base.

What's up with that?

Not in all cases - Ice /99 rookies dropped from 275-300 - 155-175 since the trade. I suspect they will continue to drop. The lower end/hobby mainstay stuff I already have so I haven't been tracking them so I can't speak for them.

As part of my Kevin collection, I was chasing Shattenkirks RCs from the get go in his rookie year and yes, he was going high as an Av. His prices did come down after the trade, but still higher than a d-man should be. He was/did getting hobby love before the trade.
 
Blues are hot right now, I'd think Shattenkirk's cards would be doing better than after the trade

I was able to snag a 3 color Dominion /99 RC for pretty cheap... oh, #1/99 to boot
 
the question i will panini or ud be able to get the new uni's on they're release's? I know panini was able to get shatty as a blue in dominion. can it be done?

I think you SEVERELY underestimate the Buffalo fanbase...

Maybe because I'm inside the fishbowl so to speak, but it seemed to me that Kassian had alot of fans before he was traded to the Canucks. If he wasn't seen with so much upside hobby-wise, why was he featured so prominitely in Series 2?

I still say with all the booing and screaming Vancouver fans did over the trade, they still got the better end of the deal....
