Hi,
I was just curious as to where NRMT 1980’s OPC Sets say on today s market? Are they ones Collectors are pursuing? Worth the Money of trying to sell them?
I have every set from the 80’s NO grades cards however. The Gretzky is Authentic as well as the Mario Lemieux rc’s.

1979-80
1980-81
1981-82
1982-83
1983-84
1984-85
1985-86
1986-87
1987-88

I’d be curious of your opinions of if you are to collect these for you PC… NOT looking to Flip them what king of prices would you be willing to pay in can $

plmk your thoughts
thanks!

Matt, flippers are only interested in the key cards from each set so they can grade those and make their money.
If the key cards are not worth grading then you would looking to find a collector that has not completed his/her
run of the 1980's OPC sets. The collector also needs to be someone that is content with less then near mint
to mint sets. There are a lot of these sets around missing a few cards.Because that has been what has happened.
They have been removed the key cards and had them graded.Just my observation.Good luck with what ever
you decide.Don't forget the card show in Bedford on the22nd.TTYS, Winston.

I have put together all 80's sets............all box bottoms all box toppers the 84-85 contest cards AND the Instant win card. For me I had more fun building the sets and turned down many offers to buy the sets out right. I agree that there is more demand for the key cards and think it would be tough to move entire sets.

That’s awesome that you’ve put these sets together with all box bottoms & extra’s
I had thought about buying the box bottom’s actually.
The 1988-89 set is very unique as the OPC & Topps box bottom has Gretzky playing for the Oilers.
And then from the main set he has 2 cards with different pics of him playing for the kings
(1 from the OPC set & the other from the Topps where he is holding the back of his Kings)

I’m not in a rush to move my sets. I was just curious I guess
