Sometimes I feel like I am hitting a wall with my collection and cant find anything i'm looking for. What are some of your favorite websites to comb through??

Oh man! There are a ton. eBay and COMC are great starts. Check out the forums and there are a lot of cards floating around here as well.

And if you are in a real funk, go ahead and start something brand new!

Cheers,

M

I have three different things I collect. I usually go around in circles with them. I get bored with cards and move on to comics. Once I get bored with that I move on to Canadian silver coins. And of course I get bored with that so I go to Altaglass figurines and Occupied Japan figurines. Wait, did I say three things? I guess it's four. Either way I always come full circle and get into cards again.

Thank you for the responses, Gents.

Specifically I was interested in websites. i.e. ebay, COMC, HI, SCF, etc.....

(is this going to upset the mods??)

If I get bored or hit a stand still I'll buy random cards. Start a buying thread and say "I got $40 show me what you got". I usually end up with a few nice pieces.

I just started a Tarasenko collection. I'll collect the odd kovalchuk card when it pops up but my collections pretty reached its ceiling when he fled the NHL.

+1 on these two!

If I am getting to the point where collecting becomes boring I pick up another project and keep it fun for myself, and if I have paypal burning a hole in my pocket I've done those threads and either end up with a nice PC item or two or a nice trader!

both are good ideas!

I collect toys, comics, and even coins so I rotate around, sometimes I will rotate to baseball and football for cards(im loving some of the baseball releases like Ginter and Archives as of late.

Pretty much hit a wall myself with the Canadian Dollar being so weak...I added just $10 us to my COMC account yesterday and it cost me over $13 Canadian.

Thankfully I have had some generous people help me out this summer and I have been attending local card shows. I had been selling on COMC, but my sales have slowed so I haven't had much card income.

Work has been busy so it has occupied a lot of my time! I have also been busy reading and working through a few video games as well to keep me occupied.

I have also been lucky to get a few steals off sportlots too...

This is what side projects are for, right?

Also, don't be afraid to contacts fellow collectors with similar interests. I'm working on the 51 Parkhurst set and contacted pretty much everyone on the PSA registry asking for extras. Of course, just a couple weeks later a bunch of stuff hit eBay.

Be patient, work on side projects, and see if anyone else is collecting the same stuff.
