Who is attending the spring expo and wants to attend another UD meeting

Let's have a poll.....

Would people rather have meeting on Friday or Saturday or even Sunday.

PLMK ... I'm flexible either way but I want to accomodate everyone

Thanks Karvin

Saturday works for me Karvin :). As for a location, how about that beverage local that Quincy has spoken so highly of ;)? That way you'd get a REAL flow of ideas....:D . -Mike

Hi Karvin,

If you'd like the participation of a hobby store owner, please put me on the 'guest list'.

Thanks,

Darren

I know I'm a little late to this thread, but if there is still room for this "collector of many things", I would be honored to participate. Thanks,

Yeah - Al is flogging it as a Saturday meeting on the other site. Personally, either would work for me if I was invited, but I need to know so I can make arrangements for my kids not to be with me if necessary. I figured I'd leave them at Quincy's table. :)

Agreed. A few days out, and need to make plans to attend. Info on the date/time is key right now.

Can someone check with Karvin?

I guess Al's assumption was based on all the previous meetings being mid-day on the Saturday.

I posted this on the other thread here, but thought it should go here as well.

Some issues I'd like discussed.

How does UD decide on the number of brands to produce for the year? Personally, I think this year has been okay as far as number of releases, and spacing hasn't been as bad as other years, but there's still a couple of months to go. :)

Any new innovations coming down the pipe?

More and more swatch altering is occurring. Outside of gathering hordes of intel for ourselves, how can UD improve the security of their swatch pieces?

While I understand it's cheaper to secure photos of a handful of players from each team, collectors may respond better if the second tier guys on their teams were rotated in and out of sets.

I think others should add things for Karvin to mull over before Friday night as well. It'll give the meeting a bit more structure.

Just got the "Official Details"

The meeting is taking place Friday night.

Those of you that got the invite, plan to meet at the UD booth between 7 and 7:30. The meeting will take place between 7:30 and 9:30.

Food will not be provided, so you may want to eat something before the meeting. It also won't be a free 'pack party' like previous gatherings. So if you're hoping just to sit down and open free packs, you're out of luck. The meeting's strictly about the status of the hobby and such.

Thanks,
Chris

A meeting with a clear focus, and no frills ... novel concept. The time is not ideal, but certainly tolerable.

So....uh....bringing my own 16 inch pizza, a six pack, and a case of ITG Between the Pipes is probably not a good idea :);)? Kidding Karvin, kidding..., about the six pack that is.... :D -Mike
