Who knew a break was so refreshing

As the title insinuates, I've been on a break from the hobby for about two months now, and I must say I did not expect it to be this easy or refreshing. I really didn't believe I would've been able to pass up on ebay listings and or trades that came my way. Also, I found that a break has really recharged my battery for the hobby, as not having to do searches on ebay, buckets, and tradelists has really allowed quite the RnR for myself. Did the break slow the progress of my collections yeah sure, but I feel as though it was needed as it was consuming a lot of my time and most importantly money:devil:.

I regularly take tiny breaks away from the hobby for the same reasons as you. I am always looking in on HI and love the show and tells as they help me decide when i want to jump back in. In the past i let this hobby consume me, constantly chasing cards and literly days in front of ebay either searching or selling, but with two little ones now i would rather enjoy my time with them and when the urge becomes too much or a sweet new product comes out i dive in on my spare time. IMO taking a break keeps the hobby fun and allows me to be more selective in my collection.
