Who needs a shield card, anyway?

so after years of waiting, I finally got an Osgood shield; my first:

Of course, it came attached to this:

I have officially joined the game-worn club! This beauty was worn by Osgood during the end of the 2003-04 season and the first round of the 2004 playoffs.


To make things even better, there's an actual photomatch:

Considering I got this for likely MUCH less than his Ultimate Signature Logo card from this year's Ultimate will go for (assuming it eventually gets pulled?), I'd say it's got me looking quite differently at cards these days.... Oh, I'll still try and grab every one I can, but damn.. this beats a 1" x 1" square of fabric!! lol

I have to put out a HUGE Thank You to our own Phildo37, who not only put up with my constant questions and badgering, also managed to hook me up with this beauty from the MeiGray sale that started last Saturday, and it has already hit my hands 5 days later!! Phil: I can't say "Thank you" enough! You are THE Man!!! I'm so thrilled with this, I may even stop badgering you about the two Grand Rapids Griffins osgood gamers you have in your collection... Well, at least for a week or so!! :winking0071:

Oh, I already know it!! Looking to see if I can save up to score a Red Wings one down the road, and who knows.. maybe try and grab a home/away/third from all the teams he's played for. I'm betting many will be very tough, but ya never know what's out there..?
