As for the original goodies, here are some pick-ups I have recently had arrive. I was originally going to wait for some Flyers rookies I'm awaiting, but based on a surprise package received today I decided to do a pre-emptive Show 'n Tell.
First up is a little inked card from Ultimate, and I gotta say this kid is really impressing alot of us with his play again this year. Although no sleeper, I'm thinking he is far more than a flash in the pan, and that he'll be a presence for many years to come in the hobby. Funny thing, this was thrown in with an auction win I had from feebay (see 2nd star below)
Next up is a favourite young player of mine that looks like he'll be fun to collect because of the great patches from the Sharks jerseys. I really wanted a 3 colour of him, and got this one for a steal. Even Penaltyman would have been proud of this victorywned:
A while ago, I let my Steve Mason Ultimate rc go in a deal and have been kicking myself ever since so I went out and got another!
On to the three stars!
Our 3rd STAR tonight is my second copy of this beautiful rookie card. Hopefully he stays in the NHL for years to come, I don't think this card would be chased much by the KHL fans
The 2nd STAR belongs to the hottest sophomore this year by a long shot! If you saw that goal he scored the other night against Ottawa, you know what I mean. This is also the first major rookie card /99 that I own :dance:

Before I show it, I'll take a moment to make a shameless plug for a project I undertook in 2003/04 as this player was a huge favourite of mine (and still is). Every rookie card and parallel of Eric Staal
And then this card showed up at the Post Office for me, and was accompanied by a letter:
Whoa!
I didn't trade for this card, nor did I buy it. The letter that came with it was (if possible) even more amazing. Thank you Steve, I'm still not sure what else to say :beer: I owe you large.
