It's really disappointing that not even Karvin seems to be able to provide solid info on release dates any longer. I wonder if this is a reflection of how poor internal communication is within UD, or what.

Regardless, I'm glad to see it live closer to the intended release date.

My boys will most likely come back to earth tonight and lose at home to the Kings. Up and down all season.... Mike needs a Tums.
 
Unless you get Crosby, Gretzky, Orr, or any other mega star, all the SPGU jerseys sell for $1 every year if you can even get a bid. Not sure what the big deal is this year. UD does this with every product, some people get them early, usually in Asia, it's the gamble you take buying cases. Not often does anyone profit from it.
 
Chris - At the very least, can I assume that I can count on you to sell me the rare rare Sakic you're going to pull?

Y'know, instead of pitching it in the shredder and complaining about the dud case... ;)
 
So I would love to hear some opinions on if this is a decent case break. Way too long til Ultimate and Cup come out so I am itching to break something. Anybody plan on breaking a case or 2 or 100..LOL. Thanks in advance.

I'll bust a bunch of this stuff. There are supposed to be 6 hot boxes per case so it should be an excellent Rip. Lots of boxes will be a kick in the junk, but each case should have several nice hits. As you know you seldom, if ever, make much $$$ busting a case or 100 but this one should be a really fun rip. My $.02... Mike

Not likely to see those prices in a week or two. And Asian sellers don't get as many bids as the North American ones do. So it is a big deal to some sellers. If you can get $8-$10 on regular jerseys being quick out of the gate, you can do very well with your resale.

Unfortunately that's the game we play when buying boxes and cases. Yes it sucks as a seller, but nothing anyone can do about it. The only way to get better odds of getting it first is to become a master distributor and even then you aren't guaranteed to have it first. If you're in it to make money then you're just gambling the money away on very poor odds. If UD tried to ship in a manner that everyone received theirs the same day worldwide, the cost of the product would go up significantly. Even then, if everyone received it the same day, the first day it's released EBAY would be flooded with the cards so the selling prices would drop as more of each card would be available from the get go.
 
One thing I've noticed is that last year's Lettermarks have been surfacing again...I've picked up several Orrs at a considerable saving from the premium at which they were selling last fall.

Kane-iacs...I like that. Psych-Toews is also good. Hmm....Price-o-phrenics?
 
Warped. But not all that ridiculous for Orr stuff - it peaks and troughs at weird intervals.
 
I'm not actively buying cards these days, but I do believe Hawerchuk is in the By the Letter or Letter Marks subset... wouldn't mind hitting one of those of anyone is lucky (unlucky?) enough to pull one!

And heck, if I get it a week before the product actually releases, all the better. :)
