Wish they would produce cards, then get them signed, THEN distribute them to the public. If that were the case then things would be a bit different. The company would have buyers demanding new product be released which would make people fuss over it more to drive the price up. That being said would offer more $ to the player to get things done faster.

In most cases - the cards have been in the hands of the players or their representatives for months ahead of release. Otherwise arrangements are usually made ahead of time for a signing session with the company or a UD representative. The majority of the time - it's the player or his agents that are the cause of the delays. The only time you might see it the other way around - is for someone like Crosby or Gretzky - someone in that stratosphere has a signing or two a year - but they do get done.
