Fairly significant in that all three of these cards were purchased by me on the secondary market after being redeemed. I admit not being the biggest Roy fan, but the card combo is pretty cool in my opinion.....definitely means NO MORE Roy on the rest of it...

Thanks guys, I could really use some help on the MTO-Single from UM5 if anyone knows where to find one of reasonable expense. I have seen a Barilko from a well known dealer and a Lemieux hidden away in someone's collection. Both of which are astronomically priced in the $750-1500 range. Needless to say, there is ZERO chance I am paying that for a piece of Barilko skate or a Mario emblem simply because it is specific to set completion for me. Any help on others would be appreciated!!

Dude, it is CRAZY coincidence material for those three Roy to come together like they did...Bought the CJ off eBay, then at Expo, Q had snagged the CP from eBay I did not see the listing and we made a cash/trade deal for it the day BEFORE he closed Q-Mart and then you turn that out at the next Expo with no knowledge of any of the prior...definitely spooky scheissers....
And you are probably right, I have had those others for how many years now? Too hard to commit to something... I have ideas but cannot commit..lol. Kinda waiting to see what comes of the Single I need to finish the set...

The Roy double shield I had made as I didn't have a Roy after selling my Roy/Lindbergh to Jeff- THERATPACK, for his Lindbergh collection. My triple mem auto I submitted was going to be Tim Horton but after getting the Horton cut at that Expo and you taking interest in the Roy. I switched the card to Roy so I still had one for my collection. Crazy how it all worked out. I picked the double up off the bay and submitted it and just got the redeemed card back the day I showed it to you. Glad I was able to help you out with your set and still get a nice Roy for myself. :beer: It even looks like the other half's of the pieces I got in your card are in mine.

Oh, that is a super cool sister piece...hadnt seen that one yet, I believe.
I am not the biggest fan of the Roy-meister...but the way those pieces came together was quite a nice conglomerate....I hate that he takes up so much of the set I am forming but I really cannot see a better three card pairing possible for any one player. Needless to say, no more Roy in the set. I will likely have to settle for the Barilko Single if I can get a card to trade for it. The triple has to have some Ukey in it. I actually thought a "gone too soon goalies" triple would look nice...Vezina Ukey Lindbergh....problem is the endless possibilities...

I redeemed the Morenz/Lalonde and Roy double shield just within the past 12 months or so and they are not head shots. They are from a licensed product and aside from not being able to use players no longer with itg. Ie Gretzky, Orr Crosby, Iginla etc. They are still the same today as they were in 04-05.

Wow, that's great...thanks for the info, Murray! I still like to crack some pre-05/06 UM packs from time-to-time, and always wondered how that would play out, given the off-chance that I hit a MTO.
