Why would you do this?

Why would you take a 1/1 ITG Ultimate card out of it's slab....and then try to sell later? Lost a lot of resale value in my opinion.

I certainly wouldn't do it. However, many prefer unslabbed cards. Perhaps it was in a collection of someone who thought they would "never sell".

Could it be possible that they bought this card that way from someone else who took it out of the case? Who knows why people do silly things? Maybe the case was cracked, or something like that? I've always had the mentality that even though the card itself is the important part, and the slab is in most people's mind irrelevant, for me I believe that anything that comes slabbed should stay slabbed, as that to me is the original condition. Removing it makes it incomplete, IMO. Others will disagree, but that's their opinion.

If I recall correctly, this seller has listed several other ITG Ultimate cards(s) that were cracked out of their original holders. Not sure of the reasoning, but I know that I've taken a passing on them.

Stack of 20 slabbed cards is approximately 35 cm.

Stack of 20 cards in sleeves & top loaders is about 10 cm.

Probably has a lot to do with it.
