Hi all,

I haven't posted mail in a long time, but then again, I really haven't picked up a whole lot lately. I have to give a shout-out to Kevin (KabbyKev), Derrick (geschrocks33), Mark (WildforCup10), Cole (wildfan1833), and Joel (JoelCarry). These cats are good eggs, and this thread wouldn't have much substance without them.

On to the goods...

The two OPC cards are freebies from Kevin. He offered to send me any doubles of Clutterbuck that he pulled from his case break. Luckily for me, he ended up with a couple of extras. The Mini Jersey rookie is a freebie from Derrick. Somehow I hadn't picked one up yet, and he had two. No matter how much the cards are worth, I always appreciate the generosity. I've sent out free cards to others in the past to help with their collections, and I love it when it comes back around. Thanks a bunch, guys!

Here are a few more for the NHL "Hits" champ collection...

The shiny OPC parallel was an eBay grab, and I picked up the Victory rookie at the local card shop when I went in for some supplies. It's one of the few cards that was probably cheaper to buy there than eBay due to shipping costs. The IP/TTM auto came in a trade with Cole, another easy swap with him. Thanks again, man.

Next are a couple for my Gabby PC...

These two were eBay purchases. I've been narrowing down my Gaborik collection to quality over quantity lately, and these are the only ones I've added in a while. Although I like the overall design, the Limited Logos set took a step back this year. I don't really consider number patches "logos", and the area for the auto is a bit small. Still a nice card, though. The Scripted Swatches is one that was originally on the checklist, but none ever surfaced when the product went live. Now they are showing up as redemption replacements, and after about 6-7 went by on eBay I won a copy. All the others I had seen were silver pen on a gold patch. The auto on this one pops a little more with the green patch, and I dig it.

Next up, captain of the Minnesota Wild...

These all came in a super trade with Mark, one of many deals we've completed. I really like the design on the SPA Future Watch limited, and for a card with no auto or game-used the Ultimate gold rookie is very easy on the eyes. I'm not going to do an all out Koivu collection, but I like the way he plays and I don't mind having a handful of nice pieces. Thanks again for trading these beauties from your collection, Mark!

Last, but certainly not least, two excellent additions from The Cup...

I purchased these two from Joel, and I'm so happy he was willing to move them from his incredible collection. I had been on the hunt, to no avail, for a Clutterbuck gold Cupper since I started collecting him halfway through last season. Knowing Joel was the big collector of the gold rookies, I contacted him to see if he had an extra copy. When he got back to me and said he had one he could part with, and it had a multi-color patch to boot, I was pretty stoked. The few others I had ever seen had a solid tan patch including #22/22, which is owned by Cal himself. The Koivu is an upgrade from the other copy I had that I just couldn't pass up. The auto is well centered, and the patch is a dazzler. There's a little bit of red in the swatch, too, that for some reason my scanner won't pick up. Thanks so much for helping me out with my collection, Joel!

That's all for now. Thanks for taking a look.

VEry nice additions Pat. When I met Cal in person to have him sign that card he was more than happy to sign it a chat. Thanks for helping me out with my Colton Gillies collection:beer:

That's funny, Cole...I didn't realize you met him when it was signed. I guess I should've asked how you got it.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Glad the Cal and sweet Mikko made their way to a Wild collector instead the dark spaces of my collection. The Cal is one of the nicest gold rainbows of him i have seen (and i know gold rainbows :) ) and the Mikko speaks for itself.
