Insane ehh. This entire wjc has showcased some young elite goalies. Even though Canada lost out to the gold medal round this has been a fantastic tournament to watch.
The Swedes have been running Makarov and it has not phased him. TSN critisised (sp) the choice of playing him but I doubt they will now. This game has been fantastic to watch. Only falling second to the Chech/Russia game.

That Czech/Russia game was the second best game I've ever seen live, like that game only two penalties called, this game was not overshadowed by the refs, which to me added to my enjoyment of the game.
The Swedes dominated this game and deserve this victory.
My hat is off to Makarov though he played out of his mind.

Great game, better than alot of the NHL games Ive watched lately, ever since thee Juniors came by Buffalo last year Ive been hooked, some of the best hockey out there. I feel bad for Makarov, coming in to start, had to hear the whispers of criticism, and he answered them in fine fashion, I dont know if hes been drafted, is draft eligible, or whatever, but Im sure he will be getting some looks after a performace like that. Sweden deserved to win for sure, 31 year drought, they will enjoy it

Well deserved win for Sweden. Congrats! Totally outplayed the Russians. That shot differential was crazy. Makarov played awesome.

They project him to go in the 3rd round. He may have bumped himself up with that performance(CBJ definitely need some goaltending prospects... maybe?). Sweden definitely deserved the win, but I feel bad for Makarov. If his team would have shown up defensively he would be wearing gold around his neck I believe.
