This mystery auto idea could have been really good, instead it was a bust. Really too bad, seems like UD tried and successful pulled the wool over collectors eyes. I am not sure how they thought this would be a good idea for collectors, I am sure it was more of a good financial idea for UD.

I really don't see how this is bad? They gave you the card that your redemption was for. YOU knew going in that you could get a card like this. I don’t see why everyone was expecting a high end card. To my knowledge Upper Deck never said these cards would have a high value.

Mystery does not mean value.

considering your worst case scenario was UD packing out all the dual SOTTs allowing you to just as easily pull the same dual auto and still be pissed. the mystery redemtion at least gave you a shot at possibly getting something better. realistically, unless you were one of the guys who shelled out $75+ for one of these, you were already on the bottom looking up.
 
thats why it was called a mystery auto. the signers are a mystery. We know everyone was hoping to hit the lottery. but you got what was advertised.

I'm sure someone will like it. it might not be you but someone will.

I fully agree. I can only laugh at the people paying so much for them on ebay.

I blieve their release said "mostly mid-tier players not found on the current checklist". Saying everything and nothing, all in a nice little ball. Basically, much like Mystery, they chalked it up to one big gamble.
 
Cmon! Its not so bad! I think those 2 players have about 4 lifetime goals combined! Seriously though, let me know what you need for it.
 
I know exactly how you feel.....My SOTT Mystery redemption was the amazing pairing of Mark Fistric and Ivan Vishnevskiy from the Dallas Stars
