Wow .

I would think it's legit. I have seen some other Ovechkins from that set that are a little bit better than that.............

He's always had some pretty nice RARE stuff hanging around and also if he likes something he goes for it like crazy as well....I'd be guessing it's real!!

Isn't there a thread where someone here was collecting images of all of those from that year? It was just up a few days ago I think. Someone should go check his archive!!

I will be the first one to say, I've owned an Ovechkin patch from the same set, it was from his nameplate, Ive seen 5-6 unreal patches including the one I had.

however, this one....its hard to believe. just looks weird, i dont know how to explain it, just too good to be true.

my GUESS.....its doctored

It's sad that all patches have to come into question like this...but I agree with Mike. It just looks off.

He seems to be better at faking patches than he is at English.

Well I know this seller personally.. He is a stand up guy, who spends a fortune on cards he likes.. HE IS NOT A PATCH FAKER!! He is a class act and I would personally stake my own reputation (for what it is worth) on Pascal..

As for your comment about his English, well we live in Quebec and the official language is French, so I commend Pascal and any other French Canadian that makes an effort to learn a second language... Try it yourself (and if you have, well then you should be more understanding) and see how well you communicate in French.. Bonne Chance Mon Ami!!

The problem with french is, you're taking a chance with every sentence you write. Mon ami? What happens when it's a girl? English is a much better language at being vague... although only French people can say je t'aime and je t'aime and mean two different things that will make or break a relationship after a long time... (it means I like you and I love you for those who don't know french).

Seriously though, doesn't ebay offer translations on listings?

Not if your French!!

That is an amazing looking patch, it's really too bad that now days every out of this world patch is called into question and they are mostly considered fake.

If you look at the ebay listing, it says translation service provided by Ebay, but no insurance of the accuracy of the translation.

Look at the "Wash", where did that come from? There is no place on the jersey that has letters that small. The main patch letters have to be bigger than that and the shoulder patch has no writing on it.

As for the English comment, I'm sorry if I offended you but it is still poor English, the first sentence doesn't make any sense at all.

Well if the Patch was faked, it was not done by Pascal, as he bought the card a year ago on eBay..

As for the language issue, not offended at all, just wanted to point out that this is not his language and he was just "trying" to communicate in English... You should see me trying French, now that is funny..
