I had the opportunity to jump into my first ever cup group case break during the first week of its release!
After randomizing everyone's spot, I landed on spot 23 or 25, don't quite remember but I was obviously disappointed. So thinking I'm gonna be stuck with bottom teams, team random! Yes that's right, I did not even know that the teams where going to randomly be assigned to our spots. What are the chances for a person who breaths and lives habs hockey like me, unknowingly it was team random, land on the montreal canadiens!!!!

However after first pack no hit. 5 to go. 2nd pack came and breaker kind of stopped and put it aside saying he was gonna leave it for last. Everyone saw that it was a booklet. So far no hits and after 5 tins, only a patrick roy base card. Finally arrives the 2nd pack! I'm biting my nails, the suspense was just killing me. I'm just dyin to hear my team but what are the odds.

Awesome looking card! Congrats! I like how the have two red jerseys and one white on the card as well! Glad you were able to get you fav player on a 1/1.
 
Superb pull! I feel your excitement, just the other day I pulled the 13/14 The Cup Patrick Roy Base Tag Auto Black // 1/1 and cant wait to get it!

Being a stickler for details I will say I am very surprised that UD is still using the 2005-06 style NHL shields on these cards? :confused:

I imagine with all the photo shoot jerseys they have had players don the past decade since the inception of that style shield, they could have used one with the current version that coincides with Gallagher's timeline in the NHL?

That kind of stuff irritates me more than where the shield came from. If I can't discern it came off a gamer or not, I don't care, because I know it's a 50/50 bet going in. But if I can date it or somehow quantify it isn't legit to that player, yeah, it's frustrating. But that's when you do what I do and just don't buy it, speak with your wallet! :)
 
Astronomical odds to pull that in the first place, but doing so in a group break with randomized teams? That's some kind of luck - good for you!!!
 
It's always cool when someone gets a superdedooperprimeawesome card that they will cherish, especially when it's from a group break.
