WTH? Is This Homemade?

Doesn't look like it's a UD product as it says "Printed in Canada" and we all know UD makes their stuff in Thailand, Chile or possibly Madagasgar... :p

Plus the seller has over 3000 transactions and a 98.3% feedback rating, it takes a lot of negs. to get a rating that low with so many transactions.

ITG is the only one who has released a Tavares card thus far, since he's in Junior and therefore not eligle for licensed cards... of course that's homemade.....

These cards have been out for over a month.

They should read Made in theofa's basement, in Canada.

There were many at the Expo, selling for $10 - $15 each.

Hi Board Members;

I am quite upset about this card as In The Game, Inc. has an exclusive with John Tavares.

Any information you can provide to me about this card would be appreciated. Does anyone know who the eBay seller is, he seems to have several cards?

Does anyone have a close up scan of the back of the card.

Any information is appreciated.

Just the eBay links, Brian...

The second one that he states is a "GM Special Edition" I'm sure GM and Topps never authorized either. This guy's just making them himself...

Hope you can nail him! :)

This guys is treading on very thin ice. First off, selling a card that he's either made or bought from someone who made it, without the approval of either Tavares or Topps, it's NUTS... just opened up himself to a serious lawsuit. Wow...

He could be sued by a company, and an individual without having a prayer in winning
He's using Topps' design, He's using Tavares' likeness.

Hopefully one of em nails em, get this crap off the market

This guy (if its the same guy) was at the expo going to every dealer trying to sell them. I know because I walked up to a table right after he left and the dealer was pretty ticked off. He was like, 'unbelievable this guys lieing right to my face saying Topps issued a Tavares card'... the dealer was really ticked off. Then I over heard the guy with another dealer trying his sales pitch.

There obviously home made. He'd be a lot better off saying that then trying to sell them as real issues.

Only problem with suing him is that you'll never collect.
Can't get blood from a stone.
Better off calling the police and getting them to seize his remaining stock as counterfeit goods. A lawsuit may result in a substantial judgment, but a guy making cards in his basement colour copier won't have the $$$ to satisfy the judgment.

the first step in a case like this would likely be a letter from lawyers telling him to stop, then if he doesn't they would take further action against him. Usually a threatening letter is enough to make these guys knock it off
