Xpresspost Your Cards For $4! Now w/Pic!

Hey all,

Just a heads up that they have smaller prepaid Xpresspost envelopes at Shoppers Drug Mart for $4. These are small enough to fit cards and offer the $100 insurance and tracking #. I seen these hanging on the wall with all the gift cards so they might be at the same spot at your local Shoppers.

Wow,... can it fit in the bubble mailers? The smallest ones I use behing the counters are ~$10+. Any picture would be appreciated!
 
Here is a pic of the envelope. On the back is the carbon address part. Envelope back also states that its "NATIONAL" so you can mail it anywhere to and from Canada :D :D And yes, it looks big enough to fit a bubble mailer :D

I think my concern wasn't "This is too good to be true." It was more of "How long does this promotion last?" It's good to see this is permanent though.

Mike, now that you have one in hand, would you be able to tell us what size bubblers fit in there, and whether you can comfortably ship, say, a one touch or slab in there without it looking all bulgy and awkward?

No prob chad, I will try my best to answer any questions the board has. The standard bubble mailers fit in them (I believe they go by size "0"). I would say they can fit a bubble & one touch without looking awkward. The opening opens about 3-4 cm. The actual mailing area is 19cm by 14cm.
 
Will definatly help out in trades and even eBay. I know "standard" shipping on a card on eBay is now $3 US. If you advertise that for $4 US you get trackable shipping in Canada that could intice higher bids.
 
I am soooo stopping at my Shoppers Drug Mart/ Canada Post outlet on the way home tonight!

Before you get too excited, it's still Xpresspost. There's no shortage of horror stories about the laxity and piss-poor performance they deliver on this service.

I don't care if it is only $4. I'll stick with registered mail.

Yea, never had a problem with Xpresspost. At least there is some paper trail to back you up on a paypal claim...

One big difference, at least with Registered, someone has signed for it along the way and is responsible for that piece of mail until someone else signs for it. Given the relative costs - Registered is definitely the more secure method. And it's NEVER an issue until something actually does go missing. I've sent something Priority Post and it never made it to its destination - so it can happen.
