The Spurs definitely don't need a locker room cancer like Malone. There are reasons why guys like Karl have never won a ring. The Spurs will be fine if they can stay healthy in the postseason.

The only reason why Malone didn't win a title last year, despite all the Laker controversy, was because he got INJURED in the Finals.
Now you Spurs fans can say whatever you want about him being a locker room cancer (I mean seriously..) but the Spurs wanted him now, they wanted him last season and will never get him.

I have unlimited respect for Malone since last year, it's sad to see him go.
