Well, a story must go along with the pics.
A few members on HI may know that I've never been a fan of the UD redemption programs. I had about 10 Nathan Horton redemptions a few years ago that I paid around 1K for on the secondary market. :crazy: I waited patiently for years in hopes these cards were produced and sent, only to be told by UD the cards were not going to be created and request a few players or cards that may be in stock and of same value. :|:|:|
Yes UD did send the replacements and I suppose I received the best possible value for the cards, at the time.
Fast forward to 2008. Me being the fool and card junky, bought 6 other Horton cards via ebay and redeemed them between Mar 1 and April 15th, 08. Hoping and praying these cards would be made and I'd receive them. :crazy::crazy: I waited and checked in with UD in July and a rep said, he doesn't think they'll be created and suggested for me to again, pick other cards of equal value.

I was not impressed in the least and me being, well, me. I got a little hot under the collar and said a few unpleasantries to the rep. :curse::curse:
I decided to wait and see this time.:crazy:
Last Wednesday I happened to be thinking about my redemptions again after reading a thread on HI and checked the UD site and all my redemptions stated "Athlete committed to signing soon, please be patient" I thought it was time to email UD and check up on the status of the cards again.
However this time, I emailed someone a little higher on the food chain. I was surprised and received a response back within 12 hours stating "He'll look into it". That evening I receive a call from an UD rep I'd dealt with on my previous redemption situation a few years ago. He was very nice and understood my frustration. I thought to myself, here we go again. He then said that Nathan had just returned the cards and auto's stickers and the cards were ready and going to be shipped FEDEX.
He emailed me the tracking number less than an hour later. He then emailed me the next day and said there was a delay and the cards went out Friday instead because UD had added an additional card because of my long delay.
Today, Monday, I received my redemptions.

However, this happens to be one of the only OPC cards I did not obtain yet. It just happens to be the extra card they added. It is sweet.

I hope I didn't bore anyone with my story. I must be respectful and say Thank you to UD for responding quickly and professionally to my last inquiry.
I suppose I was just lucky to contact the right person at the right time, when the Horton stickers were returned and the cards were available. :dizzy::dizzy:
Regardless, I received my second batch of redemptions and have several nice additions to my collection.
