Your Hobby Goals & Resolutions For 2022

Mine will be simple and focused. As of today, my Whalers want list sits at 40 cards, so...

1. Trim my wantlist down to at least 30. This is aggressive but I gotta push
2. Continue to seek new Whalers cards that fit into the collection. Currently the only ones I have on the horizon are a few team issued sets (but just the regular stock variety like Dairy Mart and Coca-Cola)
3. Continue to enjoy helping fellow collectors with my custom card work. This has really been rewarding on many levels!

First, i'll review how I did on my 2021 goals:

Didn't reach all my goals in 2020, but hoping that 2021 will bring me more success in the hobby. Here are my goals:

1) Get down to 15 cards on my Andrea Bargnani non 1/1 rookie wantlist (Currently sitting at 21)

2) Find at least 1 of the 4 remaining Mikhail Grabovski cards that i'm missing prior to 2020 releases. (Listed in signature)

3) Get rid of the rest of my bulk/traders.

4) Reduce my Raptors auto (pre 2019) wantlist to 10 or lower. Currently sitting at 16.

1/4 ain't bad lol :curse: ...usually how I do every year!



Here's my 2022 goals:

1)
Get down to 10 cards on my Andrea Bargnani non 1/1 rookie wantlist. (Currently sitting at 14)

2)
Reduce my Raptors auto (pre 2019) wantlist to 10 or lower.
(Currently sitting at 15 as well)

3)
In 2021 I sold off a lot of my Sakic collection, hope to trim it down to 50 cards in 2022.

4)
Somehow sell off all my non-PC cards, made big strides towards that in 2021

5)
TRY and open ZERO boxes this whole calendar year. I opened up 3 very averages cases this Boxing day, hopefully I've learned my lesson.

WHAT better day than to put 2021 behind AND look ahead to 2022.
Not much to post WHAT 2021 was but this is WHAT stood out for me.

EXPO
Yes finally and able to sell off over 125 cards over the 4 days.
I could probably do a S & T of my TOP 10 I $old @ EXPO.

BREAKS
Since the release of 2019/20 SPA the allocation of that product and other, time to strictly buy cards or trade locally, ACHIEVED!

MAIL
It was frustrating to the point that after 25+ years, my USPS PO Box was not renewed after what was said AND done by them AND my essential guy could no longer assist me with pickups, NON Covid related, surgery for brain tumor.

INVENTORY
Since I am only buying (ebay) / trading locally, my yearly haul is down 50% but plenty stored away to do a few more EXPO.

PC
Only a few players of choice, Howe, Beliveau and the Rocket. I am still adding a few Bobby Orr to the main PC but with ONLY 6 cards to add for 2021.

2022
BE @ EXPO!
SPEND more time away from the hobby to ENJOY other things in life AND SPEND less! Attend EXPO!

ADD (Update) Less S & Ts and Quality versus Quantity (easy to manage)

Finally, that was easy and after being home less than 3 weeks since EXPO, time to sort / put away the cards AND summer clothes from well deserved trip to Barbados!
