Your opinion on Panini Select

I havent busted any of this so im not going to comment on the "bang for your buck" aspect of the product.
However, I have picked up some various singles and nearing the completion of one of the rainbows and I lovee the look of these cards. Have the regular rc auto /299, /99, gold /10 and i managed to scoop up one of the 1/1's. They're pretty darn good looking to me. Love them shinys! The 1/1 almost looks 3D to me. Never cared too much about stickers, must be why I love this set.

I actually like Select. The insert sets are beautiful and the Chrome parallels look amazing. They are the first to release auto/rookies of the new rookie crop and if UD had done a similar type of product, the price point would have been $150+ guaranteed.

Not sure why everyone is always so hard on Panini and UD gets a pass each time. It's mind boggling

I'm with Frank, this set is a beautiful. I wish there was more devils content in it.
The fire on ice cards are really fun to look at and so shiny once you get the refractor versions.

My box wasn't the greatest but it was it was a really fun rip.

I actually like the design. Although, I don't think many people are opening it, cause I haven't seen most of the Arcobellos from that set (should anyone pull them.....)

I'm with you, I think they're great looking cards...I've also been lucky enough to put a huge dent in my wantlist from it.

The set looks good, although I agree that Prizm and Select are basically the same product with the addition of some jersey material thrown in. From a box/case breaking perspective though, the value just isn't there (unless you're trying to corner the market on Steve Oleksy rookie cards). Player collectors can pick up the singles for pennies on the dollar compared to ripping boxes and the big hits just seem too few and far between to justify the price point.

This was the most enjoyable product I have opened in a while. I actually looked at every card front and back. This was a good product, but I agree with thorn, once this settles into the $60-$70 range.

Missing an Auto (Probably a RC JSY Auto since I didnt get one) and an auto Of Timo Somenobody who played 1 game in 10-11 in my box today. JUNK. Even with a Monahan Auto.
