Hi,

with Victory coming out in less than a couple weeks, it is time to start thinking about the 06-07 season. What are your projects for the next year in cards?

Myself, I'll be bulding Habs team sets for most of the releases, and I plan on breaking at least a pack of anything with a SRP under 20$. Also, I'm thinking about doing the Fleer set with the RCs, but I didn't took the decision yet. If prices on BD wax are really lower this year, I'll be breaking some. And, I'll be looking for Pouliot and Latendresse cards. And, if there's a set in the end of the season that is not too much expensive, with a large rookie selection, I'll be doing it.

You, what are your projects for the next year in cards?

I'll be doing UD Series 1 & 2 like I do every year. As for anything else, it really depends on whats out there. I was quite surprised by how much I liked MVP this year, and may do next years as well. Same goes for Beehive, which I've recently discovered I like. And if they do Parkhurst again, that'll be one I do too.

I am stopping all wax this year, it will be tough going from 35+ cases to 0 but It must be done :)

I plan on finishing my incomplete sets and pick up some jagr/lundqvist as always :)

I'll do the UD1 and UD2 sets again, along with Parkhurst if it comes out. I'll pick up all the Sens cards I can, hopefully lots of Kaigorodov rookies for me to chase. I'll also chose a jersey or patch set to finish off aswell.

I had two players debut late in the 05-06 season who'll have cards, Cole Jarrett and David Liffiton, so I'll be picking up what I can of them. I'll also be busting lots of Heroes and Prospects (my favorite product), and hopefully resisting the urge to waste my money on anything else since I have terrible box breaking luck. And of course trying to track down past issues of my players that I haven't gotten yet.

I'll be getting some Weber rc's, and some Bourdon rc's, and who ever else impresses me. I'll be breaking some boxes too.

I am still completely uncommitted. I plan to stay in the hobby, but I suspect this coming year will be my most quiet yet.
I am really disappointed with the results of the monopoly, and as much as I love ITG, I just can't get excited about their products of late.

So, I really don't know  Maybe just focus on Andrew Ladd

Going big on Rob Blake (as usual), bigger on LA Kings. maybe a wee dash of Av's (only 1 or 2 autographed cards of any new player or rookie), and my usual glut of impulse buys of hockey goods in general!

I am also starting at least 1 or 2 new player collections. I try and add 1-3 new guys a year to expand my hockey PC in general.

One guy I will be hunting this season is Matt Carle of the Sharks.:)

Geez, me and my d-men!;)

Ummm my focus Shanahan.. shanahan and more shanahan... oh did i mention Shanahan Grin *Mikey.. will you please save me some?* ;)

Oh and if there are any Morris cards (doubt it) but if theres any I'm on it!

Hey guys! I will probably, of course, still work on my Oiler collection of past to present. But I think I will go after rookie cards and more graded cards if possible. (only have 2 Graded)

Shane.

My project for 06-07 cards isn't so much based around the new products... I'm hoping to get to 500 #ed Sens by the end of the year. I'm around 150 right now, with all the ones I have incoming, so it's a somewhat realistic goal.

This year should be more than just Khabibulin and Chicago goalies.

With the players I started collecting this year (Crawford, Berkhoel) not being RC's anymore that means Upper Deck won't have room for them in their 100 card base sets.

Just by looking at next years checklists there are already planning to come out with 24 Kyle Calder Cards (21 last year) and 28 Mark Bell cards (21 last year as well). Funny what a trade will do to your apperances on cardboard.

I just have to make sure the wife still wants to collect those players now that they are no longer part of the Hawks organization.
