Your thoughts on Ken Dryden’s Stick GU cards

Hi,
I was curious as to what people’s thoughts We’re towards Ken Dryden Game Used Pick card’s..
ITG has some REALLY nice ones of Dryden’s..including ones with both he & his brother Dave.
However as far as his cards of just a Ken Dryden cards...
I’m curious is the Ken Dryden‘s

1999-00 UD Retro Momentos Game Used Stick SP

One that is more popular or harder to find over others?

The Dryden Canada auto and retro stick are the grails for Dryden right now. If I'm looking to buy Dryden in todays product,I'd go with the Doctor at Presidents Choice. Some really sharp cards with Dryden's mask on there in multi player pieces. If you fan of the the 29 jersey back grab some leaf stuff.

Personally, would love to see Dryden change his view on licensed product but that will not happen

Since it seems that only parts of Ken Dryden’s goalie sticks are avail for cards.
It’d be interesting to find out, where the rest of his gear is. No doubt in 8 years with Montreal he must have worn many jersey’s...or his gear. Wouldn’t the HOF own these? Or did Ken keep these.
I’m not implying his gear should end up in cards, but it’d be interesting to know the whole story of where his gear is.

Totally speculating here, but I think I heard he didn't want others profiting off his gear or likeness, so I think he still has a lot of his gear or bought it back. I think the Bell Centre has a mask of his, as I do remember seeing one when I visited Montreal.

I know he has refused to sign autographs over the years because of this, too. He's always been a tough auto to get with the general public. The book signing he did (somewhat) recently surprised me. But I'm sure it made for some awesome pieces for Habs collectors and will most-likely make for some awesome cut auto'd cards one day.

Of course one might be lucky enough to find an autographed copy of his book, The Game - 20th Anniversary Edition, in your local used book store. Too bad my name isn't Peter...

When he was running for the liberal leadership.He signed a fair amount. I had a buddy that got a few autos of his at that time.I bought one of the autos and a custom card made with it. The one I used was on an index card. My friend keep the two that were on cards.

I think the 1999-00 UD Retro Momentos Game Used Stick is the only licensed game used he has. Being a short print just makes it even more sought after. One just sold for $150 on ebay. I haven't seen one in a long time.

He's very particular about what he signs (I only got his autograph in person when he was a politician and at a recent book signing) and the use of his image (he's not in many card sets) so it's not likely that there will be another licensed stick card of him any time soon.

He definitely signed the "swirl" version of the future trends cards. I believe the non-swirls are good as well

I notice though some of the Dryden pieces say the following on the back “a piece of Game Used Memorabilia”
Some cards, you can obviously tell that it is part of his goalie stick, though if not stated how do you try to figure out what part of his equipment it is if not stated?

I've been a long time hoarder of Dryden game used cards (among the many players I hoard, lol) and am thankful to Dr. Price for giving me my fixes for my collection. Here are a few that I have. He was my favorite goalie growing up and I played that position in my hockey playing years because of him. Wish he had more cards out there, it's a shame.
