Zenith & Crown Royale Breaks

I really didn't want to open the Zenith but I promised the dealer I would buy a couple and he gave me a solid price so whatever.

I hit a Zenith hot box that had 2 autos and 5 GU, not too shabby. The whole whcak o' cards is available except the Corey Crawford and Duncan Keith, those go to the boy. Thanks

That's seriously the insert set name? Between that and Yours Truly...what is up with the slightly broadway musical presentation feel of Zenith? I'm disappointed there's no lenticular motion jazz hands cards to pull.

Crease is the Word, I love it, brought back great memories of Olivia Newton John in those uber tight black leather pants and the whacked out bufon perm. AWESOME.

After seeing a lot of breaks and seeing what jerseys and autos there are, I am not very impressed with this product. A lot of "Who?" and "Huh?"

At least you got a Skinner.

You know, I actually like this stuff to be honest. For what you pay it's kind of like Pinnacle, not everyone's cup of tea but pretty solid value for the money spent. The jerseys and autos are about what you would expect from a product at this price point. I mean, you can't put Crosby and Ovechkin jerseys and autos in every box or product. I compare this to UD S1 or 2 at the same price point at release, in UD you get 2 jerseys a box and 6 Young Guns along with the usual amount of cheesy inserts. In my case the jerseys are usually George Parros and some rookie I never heard of with a name I can't pronounce properly. When I am lucky enough to hit a "case hit" auto in UD, like this past year, my "case hit" auto was John Scott. BOING! In Zenith I got an auto or two per box, rookie autos of guys I've actually heard of, jerseys of some fairly decent players but about the same as you would expect in UD, but hitting that Skinner jersey was sweet. I mean who doesn't love bright red Dufex of a top level rookie with a jersey piece thrown in. AWESOME! I'll take that any day over a George Parros or JP Dumont jersey from UD. The Dare to Tear cards, yeah, some people just don't like them or don't the point, but an added bonus to the product and I lucked out with mine hitting a Hawks auto and insert. Sure, I know th Matthew Lombardi Epix card is, well, un-epix, but Epix cards were a hit back in the day and they made then Dufexy this time around, I think it's kinda cool.

OK, so not trying to sell you on the product or anything, sorry for the rant, just giving my input on the product as Panini has been getting slayed lately and I think this is a pretty cool product for the price that kids can collect fairly easy. It certainly has a place in the market IMO.
