Zenith, WOW...Just WOW.

Not wow in a good way.

I saw a hobby box of Zenith at my local walmart. At $79.99, definitely overpriced, but my LCS isn't operating anymore so walmart is my only option. Usually they only have some blasters or hobby boxes of older stuff discounted (Lately I've been cutting my teeth on 97-98 Donruss, 97-98 Donruss Priority and 2002-03 O-Pee-Chee) but lately they have been stocking some Panini Hobby Boxes (2010-11 Donruss, 2011-12 Pinnacle and 2010-11 Zenith)

It's been awhile, so I decided to try a box of Zenith.

When I got to the cash, the box rung up at the wrong price, FOR ONLY $25.95!!!!

I quietly paid the bill and left, if it wasn't the last box I would have gone back for the rest (I will be checking periodically to see if they get more and whether or not they change the way the price scans).

Dare to tear was a Carey Price which I very carefully slit the back of the preserve the Price for my PC. While Gingerly sliding out the regular sized card within, I saw numbering on the back /99.

I was hoping for something nice, but instead and autographed RC /99 of Paul Byron.

Even for only $25.95 this box wasn't exactly a home run. I can't imagine how ticked I would be if I paid the $79.99 marked on the shelf, lol.

When I was doing live breaks during winter, I was paying my Zenith 32,50$. Cheap boxes and SOMETIME something good pops out !

They have Contenders hobby box at my local Walmart but I'd prefer to rip some old 90's boxes for $20.

Some of these Walmart prices you guys are dropping sound awesome. Couldn't say why but my area doesn't have card box's..... Sault Ste Marie Ontario or Michigan, I've been checking but both said they stopped years ago

Yeah, I've noticed the Panini hobby boxes popping up lately. They're way overpriced though for the hits you usually get out of Pinnacle, Zenith; they're almost as high as the prices when they first came out. You could get them online (including shipping) for less (unless it's mispriced as yours was).

The Walmart near my house has a MASSIVE card section and it is loaded. The Zenith boxes are priced at $69.99...I'm going to scan one tomorrow to see if it comes out cheaper.
