OK, there's been several threads on here lately about inserts from the 90's. This got me thinking...what are some sets that you think have stood the test of time and still command high interest and $$ when they pop up on Ebay? I know the 97/98 Select Certified Gold's still seem to be pretty popular but I want to get everyone's opinion on some others.

The first UD Game Jerseys? Any /100 or under numbered parallels? 92-93 Panini French (if you consider them parallel)

Not all that valuable but: Donruss Studio Silhouettes. Pulled a Messier from a pack when I was young and it was my favorite card for a long time :D

97/98 Certified - Platinum Gold /69 and the redeemed version /25.....stupid hard...

Ive got the Roy and Yzerman /25 and the Selanne /69 !!!...

My Daze auction just ended at $40 /69....so.......nice and rare lol

Precious Metals was one of my favorites to build :)

Ah yah,, thats the stuff haha,,, if only there would have been a Hossa in there. That would have been the sickest rookie card in the world. I cannot believe that they wasted some gold on Samsanov,, that is the only card I would not even take if someone gave it to me lol.

Yes 95-96 Ultra Padmen GM sold for insane bucks here in sweden at a swedish auction site (like +$100 for every cards or something)

Those are ineed rare but those prices are just nuts for a box hit from a fairly cheap serie!
But the cards from the set ineed looks stunning even in todays standard IMO

I thought that they came 1:360 packs.

Yes silly me..the regular Padmen was 1:36 so I screwed up again (I'm getting old), yes those're quite rare but Pinnacle 94-95 MVPC with Pavel Bure was also 1:360 and was BV at $90 as most during middle of 90's and now almost wothless and has seen one who was sold for measly 50cent or something!

But if I remebers correctly that 96-97 Leaf Sweaters Home /1000 was really expensive at ebay at early 2000's, I was trying to get one with Jim Carey who was my PC then but the prices always went up very high ($30-$45) despite a /1000 card, those're quite hard to find nowadays and can't find any at ebay right now...

1990-91 Pro Set Stanley Cup Hologram

Most of the time these sell for over book....in some cases double or triple over book.

Hmm..the time ineed changes quickly...not! It was 10 years ago when I bought some Elites filthy cheap at early 2000's for my PC's for Lemieux, Jagr etc and most of those ended up at $8-$12 range so much below the BV.

3x of the book just sounds extreme but 10 years just makes a /10000 cards more rarer in nowadays than for 10 years ago.

You can't argue with a well designed and spectacular looking insert set. 10,000 isn't that much in the whole scheme of things.

From 1996/97 you've got the SPx Force auto cards #/100. Very few ever show up, and they still command a strong price. The odds were 1:2500.
