New ITG Used Memorabilia Swatches not Matching to Player

I have no doubt that all of the jerseys used in leaf's products are legit. Talking to Greg at the national and expo, he's a very knowledgable guy about the mem they use. I've asked him numerous questions about jerseys used and he always answers with a fast, confident response.... I'm not worried whatsoever.

Pretty sure the Cujo on the multi cards is a Canada jersey. I will find out about the Blues jersey tomorrow. I am sure there are instances jersey pieces can get mixed up at the production plant. I don't think this is the case with the Cujo but I will find out for sure. In a perfect world each card would have a call out for which jersey we use, and I am working to get there, but we are using so much patch that some players we use multiple jerseys.

Another blow against Leaf?

First blow being unlicensed by NHL and NHLPA.
GU integrity and vintage inventory is Leaf's primary strength. If Leaf loses consumer confidence in that area, then yes, it will be another blow against Leaf. That's all I meant.

Joseph era Blues jerseys would be three colour numbers with the middle number being generally heat pressed plastic to save on the weight since three layers of twill gets to be a bit heavy.

Exactly. There is no way the pieces on the Blues Cujo cards were worn by him. Regardless of what Leaf says about this it is impossible that Cujo ever wore the pieces on the blues cards. The black and white swatches are likely Team Canada and I can buy that but the Blues pieces are a mistake.

Hey guys, waiting to have all Cujo jerseys returned to us by the vendor. All Goalie memorabilia is in the process of cutting for Masked Men. If the Cujo is an error we will announce and go from there how to handle. There was nothing sinister involved I assure you if this was an error. ITGU had over 85000 memorabilia pieces in it and it is possible these got mixed. If they were mixed, my thought is it is either from Hall or the Arbour jersey as they are that era. All were labeled ST. Louis. I will keep you informed, Again, if this was an error, it sucks! but nothing was sinister, nothing was done to dupe anyone. It was just stupid on our part.

Yes! You are correct:

If anything, this shows the advantage of old ITG listing the team for the material on the back of the card.

This is one of my favorite things about old ITG, When the card states on the back "London Knights Jersey Worn during the 00-01 Season" it just makes it easier to know where the jersey came from. It's also cool to think that that jersey is now 15 years old.

Kudos Gregg for the way you are handling this.

Definitely agree with this.

I've had this tucked away in my PC since the day the product was released. Despite that I had never seen the full logo until now and dangit what a beauty of a design.

So it appears the Cujo patch cards actually contain patches from Al Arbour, a mix up in production. No malfeasance or harmful intent here folks, just a stupid, careless error and costly as Arbour jerseys are more expensive and harder to come by then Cujo. Anyway, I guess I will have to take a closer look, much closer, when I hand pack these products. At first glance I guess nothing seemed amiss. If anyone has these error cards please send them back and we will attempt to correct them with Cujo patches. We may also buy some off the market.

If this doesn't boost confidence in Leaf's CS, I don't know what will. Standing ovation to you and your CS dept, Gregg :)

Super impressive and professional. Taking a tough situation and handling it as best as you can is all a collector could ask for. Lets face it, mistakes happen in all lines of work. Very nice to see!
