Rundblad drafted in 17th overall in 2009

Traded to Ottawa in 2010 for 16th overall draft pick (Tarasenko)

Traded to Phoenix in 2011 (with a second round pick) for Kyle Turris

Traded to Chicago in 2014 for a second round pick.

His value sure has dropped over the last few years.

His value won't drop at all being with the hawks. The hawks will mature him into a great defenseman, and he will be the d-man to hold that 6th defenseman spot.

Seeing all these defenseman recently being picked up is making me nervous, because my Leafs are in need of some back end help in a big way. With Dave Bolland getting close to a return, it's almost like we are getting some nice trade deadline help without giving up anything to get it. With Salary cap issues in the mix, it seems likely Nikolai Kulemin may have to be moved if they want to bring in a defenseman. There's no way they can finish the year with this group of 7 D-men. They are horrible most nights. Only other move is to trade some offense for defense. I don't think Nonis is willing to give up picks for rental players, so who knows what they can do? Gonna be a fun two days to see everything unfold.

Rumor has it that Vanek wants to play with the Wild with his buddy Pominville. The question is Garth Snow wants a lot for him and I do not think Fletcher is going to get rid a bunch of prospects for him when we will probably get him in the off season. Vanek has a home in Minnesota too. So we will see what happens.

As a big fan of Luongo and even bigger fan of Panthers I could not be any happier (Markstrom has been underwhelming to watch couple last seasons,he still has great potential tho). Welcome back home Roberto!

Would love to see the Oilers go get CHRISTIAN EHRHOFF. Good fit and lots of term left on his contract. However I have a feeling he will go to the Pens. With their top 2 D out they will need help. Maybe Chris Phillips, he would help them short term as needed.

Ryan Callahan has taken his money down a bit.... but still a lot

great move by Rags getting Marty

I secretly want Vanek in LA. Hope it happens and this alleged Gaborik deal is smoke and mirrors to cover their true motives which I hope are Vanek.

I just don't see how LA would want Gaborik now as they passed on him in free agency. And the passed on him for the same reason people try and unload him now: constantly injury-riddled.

Could be a great deal for both. TB definitely looks like the winner when you step back but that said, Stamkos loses St. Louis who was the ying to his yang. Also, Callahan is HIGHLY overrated in my opinion, never understood the hype around him? And the picks? We all know that could go either way, busts or bangs.

I also don't hear anyone discussing the potential affect on Stammer, just the assets that traded hands?

And vice versa, St. Louis playing again with Richards could rekindle old magic there. It is a deal that will be revisited often I imagine.

I think Tampa bay has stamkos' line mate playing in juniors as in Jonathan drouin but as for a temporary fix, they still have a few hours to find

Great trade for the bolts if the draft picks work out

Drouin is going to be a perfect fit with Stamkos. It would have been nice to have St. Louis there so Drouin could learn a bit more.

As for LA, as much as Vanek and Gaborik are elite scorers, I don't know if they'll be happy or as effective under Sutter's style. Actually, I think Cammalleri is a better fit, maybe even Moulson.

I spoke to a friend in the LA camp last week and they said Cammalleri was #1 on their list as a potential target. That was last week. ;)
