2014 Trade Deadline thread

I really hope Marty Brodeur does NOT get traded. Love seeing those guys play their whole career with one team, especially one as historical and legendary as Brodeur's.

That said, heard his list of teams he would accept trades to include Sharks, Pens and Kings.

Is it me or does the minor trade LA made with Buffalo seem a bit lopsided???

Braydon McNabb AND TWO 2nd rounds for Hudson Fasching and Nicolas Delauriers????

I'd say Gaborik is probably just a rental for the Kings with him being UFA in the off season and the Kings having absolutely no cap space. Hopefully he can click with Kopitar and company and have a good playoff run at least before moving on somewhere else.

So it's Matt Frattin, a 2nd, and a conditional 3rd. Frattin is a RFA at the end of the season and probably wasn't going to get qualified. Came from Leafs as part of the Bernier/Scrivens trade.

So basically nothing.

LA seems to have a boat load of 2nd r picks.

The Florida Panthers have traded goaltender Tim Thomas to the Dallas Stars. Thomas, 39, signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract with the Panthers prior to this season after choosing to sit out the 2013 NHL season. Full Story

Well, that was boring today... The Hawks dumped Pirri on Florida, and brought in Rundblad even though they already have a log jam for the 6th defenseman. BORING! As much as I can't stand the guy, I was actually hoping they would land Kesler. Oh well, at least I can move Kesler cards at the show now!

The Canucks rumored asking price for Kesler was a 1st/2nd line forward, top prospect and 1st rounder. Not many teams would be willing to give that up, if any. Besides, now that Luongo is gone, they need somebody to continue to feed the trading block rumor mills on the team.
