Mr. Kaberle is back to being the centre of trade attention in Toronto...

Apparently on the cusp of being traded… he gave permission to Burke to talk to the bruins only

Word on boston radio(from Cam Neely) the Bruins are close to making a trade.

CHFM says:
Kaberle+ 2011 1st (philly) + conditional pick in 2012(probably on kabby signing long term in boston)

For

Ryder + 2011 1st(Toronto)

Well that would give us a top 5 pick... and Ryder would just walk at the end of the year giving us $4M in cap space (already saving $3M from the Versteeg deal yesterday).

I don't like to speculate or comment on rumours, it's completely pointless. That would make sense for both sides though. Boston would be neck and neck with Philly then.

Yeah I'm not getting excited (or in my case, disappointed to see Kabby go), and not too excited about Ryder...what happens, happens, and hopefully it makes the team better :)

If I were Boston I would never give them their pick back. Who's to say there not just going to tank the season and try for the #1 overall.

Toronot will not give that 1st rounder back unless the deal absolutely bowls them over. I'm talking a Schenn+ deal. That said, if the Flyers face the Bruins, I don't want Ryder on that team; he just scares me come playoffs.

I saw an interview with Kaberle on a Czech TV yesterday. He was asked about his situation and one of his answers was, that he would like to resign in Toronto. Wow! He loves Toronto, but I dont think that Toronto likes him. Dont know if the fans like him, but Burke definitelly not, because every time the opportunity is there he is trying to move him. I understand that he is not a prototype of modern defender, he is too soft. But you cant go wrong if you have one productive defender like him in the team.

Lets see what will happen. There are not too many teams he will be willing to be traded to.

Kaberle will be moved. The problem is not Burke, its with Wilson...surprise surprise. With all the problems the players have had with him and how crappy the team is doing under him I am surprised that he is still behind the bench. I expect Kaberle to be moved before the trade deadline and I expect Wilson to be fired in the off season.

I heard the same rumor minus boston giving back their first round pick. If that it the case it is an absolute no brainer for the Leaf's, but I doubt that Boston will be stupid enough to give it back. Are they that desperate for a puck moving defenceman?

Yes, maybe not for the TO first, but pretty badly

That TO 1st will not move for Kaberle period. Anyone who thinks that it will is off their rocker. No one trades a top 5 for a 32 YR old DMAN who is a rental.

I think Boston already has a ton a great young forwards and Seguin too. Add Philly's pick and another forward who can help Boston, anything is possible.

The only way that Burke will take Ryder is if he is doing it as a favor to Boston (throw in) to help them clear out his contract. Teams are more then willing to give up picks to help clear dead wood from their team. Ryder would not fit into the Leafs team, he certainly do not fit into Burke's style player. He is a shooter, the leafs don't need him and likely don't want him.

I can see Kaberle and 3rd round pick for Ryder & 1st round pick. This actually helps Boston and gets the Leafs a 1st round pick. Boston has already said that they are willing to deal the Leafs 1st pick that they got in the Kessel deal.

Hate to say it but I'd be happy to see Kaberle go. Whatever we get will be nice although seeing Ryder in a leaf uni doesn't really impress and as Scotty said, doesn't fit into the teams future.....more draft picks please
