COMC Falling Behind Again?

They are now exceeding their shipping estimates significantly, so props to them. My last two shipments have gone from requested to shipped in less than 2 weeks. My most recent was requested on August 30 and it shipped yesterday (September 10) - with expectation of delivery tomorrow. These are economy shipping orders.

I just got an email from COMC that I'm getting a 5.00 shipping credit on my next order since they missed my my expected ship date, thought it was pretty great they offered something for missing the date.

Got the same as well. I was a bit surprised that they weren't able to hit the expected date as I requested shipment quite some time ago and the original estimated time seemed quite reasonable.

But 5 bucks is 5 bucks, eh?

I've received the $5 shipping credit on my last 2 orders, but both only missed the expected ship date by one day. I'll take that every day and twice on Sunday.

Put in a "rushed no tracking" order today and got 14K cards infront of me. WOW! Talk about not being behind anymore :)

Anyone get a $5 off next shipping email because of the Canada Post strike?

I haven't had a shipment sent home lately, probably wait until Black Friday card shopping is done. However, I don't think it's right to expect a 5 dollar voucher for something that is out of the control of COMC. I'm interested to see what options I'm given when I request the shipment home.

Placed my shipment request, interesting to see how it goes and hoping by my date that Canada Post has settled:

Date Requested:

12/2/2024

Estimated Ship Date:

1/7/2025

Items Ahead of My Order:

525,139

I had placed a shipment of 130 cards or so on Oct.15th with an estimated ship date of Nov.12, it finally went to " transit from US to Canada" on Nov.23rd and that is were it sits with 142,739 ahead of it. No movement since then, it's not even in the "checking and packing" stage. I did get the $5 shipping credit for it shipping late, if it had shipped on Nov12th it may have been close.

Might be a glitch, but my order actually shipped earlier. Requested 15 Nov, estimated ship date was 10 Dec, but it got shipped on 27 Nov (with some 300k items still in front of it).

It's not necessarily a 'next order up' system - I've found sometimes if I'm requesting a small batch, or all of the cards are in one warehouse and not mixed, my order sometimes can jump the queue. I'd imagine they have a small army of people filling requests and it's possible a request gets fulfilled before others in front of it that take more time to fulfill.
