Just wondering who you will be looking forward to seeing that either missed much of last season, or just had a lousy year.

Crosby coming back will almost certainly be the biggest of these stories (assuming he does in fact come back this season.).

I'm also very much looking forward to seeing an apparently lean and mean looking Guillaume Latendresse, who missed almost all of last season with hip and abdominal issues, both of which ultimately required surgery.

According to new Wild coach Mike Yeo, Lats came into camp in wicked shape, and is pencilled onto a line with PM Bouchard, and Matt Cullen. I'm hoping Gui can finally establish himself as high end goal scorer, which he has shown flashes of, especially in the second half of 2009-10. If he can stay healthy, I'm thinking he might blow by 30, and maybe even hit 40 goals this year.

Pierre-Marc Bouchard will be having a come back season of sorts as well. He played last year, but this will be his first full season back following an off-season during which he was able to properly train.

So who are you looking forward to seeing? What kind of results are you hoping for or expecting?

I think Frolik is going to have a big big year with the hawks. I really think he is going to be a good fit there.

Come back player of the year? The possibility of him being paired with Nash and Carter, I'd like to think that Vinny Prospal is probably the #1 guy on the list right now.

I'm looking for Parise to put up 40 goals this year after missing almost all of last season with his injury. Agree on Guillaume Latendresse as well, if he stays healthy, I expect he will have a big year.

Not really a suprise but I see JVR having a break out year with 30+ goals and possbily Schenn seeing some time on a top 2 line in PHI and racking up some nice points. Someone needs to step up with the loss of Richards and Carter which equal to 60 less goals.

Gustavsson ... I am not a leaf fan but I see him winning back the #1 role in Toronto.

It will make for a great story with his heart problems....

comeback player: GABORIK!! just think, hes NEVER had a guy like richards passing to him. my guess is hes in the running for the richard trophy this year.

First person that came to my mind was Guillaume Latendresse. I think if he has a year like the second half of the 09-10 season he will hit the 35+ goal mark.

Than I also thought of PMB as he will be having his first full season with no symptoms. I will go out on a limb and say 80-90 points

I heard your man Russell was looking sharp in camp. Yes, it's only after day 2 but here's hoping.

I also expect Vermette/Brassard to step it up.

From the Oilers, I expect big things from Paajarvi. He wasn't injured and he had a decent rookie season but imo had a slow start. I expect him to do something from the start to the end.

Khabibulin can't get any worse so maybe him as well.

Peter Mueller is ready to go and hopefully comes out strong for the Avalanche. Went down with injury too soon in 09-10,after arriving from Phoenix, that he has yet to gain a hobby foothold here in Colorado.
